Very stylish motel. Hipster Vibe overall which was ok by us as it didn¿t adversely effect our stay one way or the other. The room was spacious enough for our stay, the shower hot on demand and the beds and linens were super comfortable. Very clean space
Wonderful owner very dedicated to the guests' overall experience. Cool, retro vibe with SPOTLESS rooms and fun conversation "pit" areas and fire pit as well as terrific pool. You can tell she really cares about the property and guests! W

Staff was extremely helpful with the free Valet parking. Twas only a minute or two to wait for your car to be delivered to the front door of the hotel. The unfortunate thing was that Valet parking was a NECESSITY because there was zero onsite parking
It had everything I needed for one night of good sleep. The pool was a really nice feature.

Nice hotel. Clean. Great beds.
It was fine for what I needed: a clean, comfortable place to stay for 1 night while I was on the way from point A to point B. It was not what I'd call a destination resort, but it was well maintained. Good restaurant in the lobby.
The staff was kind and helpful.

This was so much more than a hotel. It was a vacation destination center. It wasn’t a hotel room. It was a two bedroom town house but they were pools, tennis courts, pickle ball, courts venture, golf courses, and so much more. What a bargain.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel at least 2 to 3 months ahead for high-demand periods such as Williams College commencement or peak fall foliage (late September-October), as most inns with under 30 rooms fill quickly. Confirm your dates align with local events before booking.
- Reserve a rental car if you want flexible local travel, as ride-share and public transit options in Williamstown are limited. Albany International Airport is 45 to 60 minutes by car; check rental desk closing hours, as some close at 22:00.
- Compare recent guest reviews for cleanliness, breakfast selection, and onsite parking, as star ratings alone may not capture the experience. Major chains and local inns may differ by included amenities; always check the latest reviews for consistency.
- Contact your hotel directly to verify operational hours before travel, especially in winter (December-March), when some locally owned properties and restaurants reduce service or temporarily close.
- Most Williamstown hotels and inns offer free onsite parking. When staying within 0.5 miles of Williams College or downtown, review local signage for campus or permit-only rules to prevent parking citations.
- For reliable Wi-Fi or quiet workspaces, check with your hotel about typical speed (25 Mbps or higher), desk areas, and print services. Smaller inns may have limited bandwidth in guest rooms.
- Always request accessible rooms or family features such as cribs, rollaway beds, or adjoining rooms when booking, as historic buildings in Williamstown often lack elevators or step-free access. Confirm ramp or visual alarm availability if needed.
- Check hotel pet policies before booking. Many local inns accept small pets under 40 lbs with a $15 to $50 cleaning fee per stay. Ask about size limits and the nearest pet relief areas.
- US tipping customs apply: give bellhops $15 per bag, valet attendants $15, and housekeeping $15 per night. For concierge assistance with bookings or local tips, $15 is standard.
- Most hotels and inns enforce quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00. When near Williams College, respect posted rules, as certain campus areas and parking zones are permit-only.
- Weather in Williamstown spans snowy winters with lows to -10°C (14°F) to mild summers. Pack waterproof layers and hiking shoes if visiting trails such as Mount Greylock or the Appalachian Trail.
- Berkshire County has a known tick and Lyme disease risk. Apply insect repellent and do a thorough tick check after hiking at Mount Greylock State Reservation or nearby parks.
- Ask hotel staff or concierges for recommendations. Innkeepers often suggest local restaurants, hiking like Mount Greylock, or the best times for museums such as The Clark Art Institute. Many can help with dinner reservations or tickets.
- Reserve ahead for top restaurants and museums. The Clark and area theaters offer timed tickets that fill quickly from June to October. Ask your hotel about early reservation or local booking assistance.
- Many historic Williamstown inns have only stairs. Request luggage assistance or short-term loading access before arrival, especially if traveling with children or large bags.
- Review the hotel's deposit and cancellation rules before booking, as small inns often require a non-refundable deposit during high-demand dates. Confirm all charges and refund details by email for your records.
- Plan your visit to include local events. Williamstown Film Festival (October) and Taconic Music Festival (July-August) bring unique performances and pop-up events. Ask your hotel for the latest local schedule.
- Check your hotel’s direct website for multi-night discounts or seasonal packages. Some deals include tickets to The Clark Art Institute or discounts for stays of 3 or more nights.
- Expect a Massachusetts hotel occupancy tax (currently 5.7%) and possible local surcharges on your bill, applied to all official accommodations in the state.
- Massachusetts hotels require guests to present a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, at check-in. Ensure yours is available for all adults in your party.
- Solo travelers can enjoy local connection at the Williamstown Farmers’ Market, open Saturdays May to October, featuring regional produce and handmade crafts within a 10-minute walk of Williams College.
- Families can visit Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, 12 miles south, for skiing December to March and hiking or mountain adventure courses in summer.
- Business travelers should verify hotel business center hours, speed of Wi-Fi (aim for 50 Mbps or higher), and proximity to Williams College meetings. Several hotels within 1 mile offer dedicated workspace and fast internet.
