That it is an old apartment building. Washer/dryer, kitchen and a patio/balcony. Will be staying here again!
There was so much space and the furniture was beautiful and comfortable. The front desk check in was great and quick. Also, she helped us with the TV. Great distance to everything we wanted to see and do.
Very convenient location. Huge room with lots of storage. Lots of windows. Super cute non-hotel owned coffee shop down below. Treated cordially by person checking me in. Felt safe.

They have a full kitchen. We didn?t have to pay to park.
It was located in a great location! Was hearing it beside me. I think employees were bringing their kids and keeping them there because I was told no guests were booked in the room above me. After I complained the noise of children stopped.

Great blend of traditional and contemporary. But is starting to show rough edges: missing and chipped paint here and there. Shows more on contemporary. LOVED the total blackout hotel room for sleeping. Best¿and longest¿sleep in years!
The staff made me feel so comfortable and were readily available if I needed anything while I was a guest.
The interior design and architecture were beautiful, great to have a bar & restaurant on property when arriving late at night.

Top Tips
- Kansas City International (MCI) offers scheduled flights with more airlines, while Topeka’s Forbes Field (FOE) has limited commercial service. MCI is approximately 65-75 miles (about a 1 hour 10 minute to 1 hour 20 minute drive) from Topeka and offers additional flight options. For arrivals or departures outside standard hours, confirm hotel shuttle or rideshare wait times in advance.
- Amtrak’s Southwest Chief makes a scheduled stop in Topeka, with station-to-downtown taxi or ride-share transfers typically taking 5-15 minutes. Confirm fare rates before travel for accurate budgeting.
- During the Kansas legislative session (January to May), hotel demand near the Statehouse rises. Book 4-6 weeks early to avoid sold-out dates or higher midweek rates, especially at branded and boutique hotels.
- Most chain and motel hotels in Topeka include free surface parking, but properties downtown or in the NOTO Arts District may charge for parking, with fees from $15 to $25 per day. Confirm availability and rates when booking.
- Many midscale hotels charge pet fees, usually between $15 and $50 per night. Check the property's specific fee and any pet size or room limits to avoid surprises.
- The NOTO Arts District is walkable and features restaurants, galleries, and live music within a 10-20 minute walk from smaller hotels and B&Bs. Staying in or near NOTO allows easy access to these venues without a car.
- Ask your hotel for a measured Wi-Fi speed before arrival. For single-user remote work, aim for at least 25 Mbps down, or 100 Mbps if multiple guests will stream or video conference.
- Downtown and Capitol-area hotels place you within 0.5-1 mile of the Kansas Statehouse, reducing travel time for weekday government or business visits. Prioritize location if meetings or events are scheduled nearby.
