We have stayed here multiple times and we love staying here. We have had the same room multiple times because we ask for the mobility room and it has plenty of room to move around. The location is great and right off the freeway.

Top Tips
- Secure rates 25-30% below peak pricing by booking beachfront hotels 60-90 days ahead for March-April stays. Rates typically increase 40-70% closer to spring break. Act early to maximize both room selection and pricing.
- Hotel rates in Pensacola do not include the 12.5% combined state and county lodging tax. Some resorts add a $25-$35 nightly resort fee, often displayed at checkout. Confirm all fees before booking to avoid unwelcome surprises.
- For uninterrupted remote work on Gulf Islands National Seashore, use wired Ethernet in lodgings, providing typical download speeds of 18-22 Mbps. Wi-Fi averages only 8-12 Mbps due to satellite limitations. Check with your hotel in advance if you require reliable connectivity.
- During May-November, request a room on the second floor or higher at low-lying properties, as 60% of Escambia County flood claims involved units below 10 feet elevation. This helps reduce the risk of flood-related disruptions during hurricane season.
- Always choose to pay in US dollars at hotel kiosks and use a credit card to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion fees, which can increase your cost by 4-7%. Verify the final currency selection before confirming payment.
- Request step-free access in writing before arrival if you need it at historic downtown inns. Only 30% of boutique properties built before 1950 offer full step-free access throughout public spaces and guest rooms.
- For a quieter stay, select hotels west of Casino Beach, such as Seagrape Place, where nighttime noise averages 45 dB versus 60+ dB near downtown bars. Enjoy access to over eight restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
- Escambia County requires all hotels to implement year-round linen reuse due to aquifer stress. There is no opt-out, even during wet months, so plan to reuse towels and bedding during your stay.
- Tip housekeeping $3-$5 per night by leaving cash on the pillow or desk. Resort fees do not cover this standard gratuity. This directly supports the staff who maintain your room.
- At budget motels along US-98, 40% do not have full-property generator backup. Outages after May-October thunderstorms may last 4-12 hours. If backup power is essential for you, confirm with the hotel before booking.
- Combine AAA/CAA discounts (5-10%) with corporate rates at chain hotels such as Holiday Inn, Best Western, and Wyndham in Pensacola. Stacking discounts is honored locally, unlike most of the Southeast US. Present all memberships at check-in for confirmation.
