Not very much to brag about
The room and staff
To my surprise the hotel has a shuttle that will do drop offs and pick ups within a mile radius. I love the infused water and other drinks available daily.

The historical ambience of the hotel and the kind and professional staff
The exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and the unrivalled historic nature of the unique rooms.
Staff was amazing. We received an upgrade to our room and it was incredible. So much history, so cool to walk around the ship and view all the exhibits. Plenty of places to eat.

I liked that there was a Vons right next door and that there was no complications with the deposit when I wanted to extend my stay, the first deposit just rolled over into the new stay just like how it SHOULD be

The rooms are spacious and having an actual kitchen area (2 plate, full refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, pans, dishes, etc.) is really nice. It's also nice having an actual sofa to relax on. Breakfast buffet was well stocked.

We liked that the coffee, cocoa, etc. were accessible 24 hours. Also they provided a secure are to put our luggage until we could check in. The morning person at the desk was awesome. She also suggested a deli down the street that had the best pastrami!

Beautifully renovated property
Proximity to the Long Beach Convention Center is great. We were able to park at hotel, then use walkway around the corner that?s connected to convention center. Outlets and restaurants within walking distance. Very clean hotel with very friendly staff.

Nothing. It's a scam at that price. I could have been at Anaheim's Hilton for almost the same $$. The beach near it is not nice. It is surrounded by fast foods, 2 petrol stations and one great food store called VONS, the only nice thing about this 3 days.
How close it was to the beach
Clean and quiet. Good value.

The location and price both are amazing
It felt like my own little apartment which was nice.
We went on vacation and were on two occasions tricked by hotels. This was our last hotel before we left California and it was like a breath of fresh air. The bed was cozy. Pillows were plush and we had enough space for a pack and play.

Very clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. I was thinking about going for a cheaper hotel but I'm glad we stuck with this one. It had a great feeling to it.
Friendly staff, healthy breakfast options (Greek yogurt, healthy toppings, hard boiled eggs, fruit).
I suggest renovations for the room and entire hotel.

Top Tips
- Target Long Beach Airport (LGB) for downtown transfers to save 30-45 minutes compared to LAX, with a typical 8-12 minute drive to downtown or waterfront hotels (about 3 miles). Many major hotel brands offer complimentary airport shuttles from LGB; confirm shuttle schedules in advance to maximize convenience and savings. Taxis and rideshares usually cost $15-25.
- Experience the excitement of race week by booking hotels near Shoreline or Pine Avenue 3-6 months in advance of the Long Beach Grand Prix (April) to avoid steep rate increases and street closure disruptions. Review city event schedules, consider alternative neighborhoods, and use in-hotel dining or amenities during peak congestion. Verify accessible routes if traveling with mobility needs.
- Stay within 0.3-0.6 miles (5-12 minute walk) of Shoreline Village, the Aquarium of the Pacific, or the Catalina Express terminal to discover top attractions on foot or with hotel-provided bikes. Several major hotels in this area also offer bike rentals or accessible shuttles on request. Use the hotel concierge to arrange early morning Catalina Express departures and verify accessible paths where needed.
- Guests seeking a restful night in Pine Avenue’s entertainment district can request a courtyard-facing or high-floor room to minimize late-night street noise, which can persist until 2:00 AM. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs and check if the hotel provides blackout curtains or sound-insulating windows. For the best chance of availability, request a quieter room when booking.
- To ensure an accessible stay on the Naples peninsula, confirm step-free access and vehicle unloading options in advance, as many vacation rentals have multi-level layouts and narrow public lanes that affect luggage and mobility access. This is especially important for vacation rentals, but guests booking hotel suites or apartments should also verify elevator and parking access. Some hotels offer bellhop or luggage assistance for challenging areas.
- Reduce plastic waste and enjoy savings by bringing a refillable water bottle, as Long Beach tap water is treated and meets state and county standards. Many hotels offer filtered water stations in lobbies or gyms for guests.
- Plan for hotel parking and facility fees when staying downtown, as these charges are often separate from nightly rates. Downtown hotel parking typically ranges from $22-38 per night. Compare all-in nightly costs before booking and consider hotels with inclusive packages or loyalty perks for potential savings. Accessible parking is generally available, but verify with your hotel if needed.
