Hardtwald Hotel

The breakfast was good, the location gorgeous. But the best part was the bed, the mattress and the pillows were not too soft, not too big, and I slept excellent.

No elevator

This is a beautiful location, a bit out of Bad Homberg, a wonderful town. Hikes and spas are close by. It is a little further to walk places without a car, yet we had a vehicle. But, the walk is quite easy.

A gracious, traditional hotel in the quiet forest. Unbelievablely clean, and delicious breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find a spacious room and a balcony.

Staff were friendly and helpful overall and the rooms generally comfortable.

Definitely not a hotel for families with young children. Some guests were clearly intolerant of young children and we were subjected to verbal abuse by one particular group of guests at dinner time.

All the staff are so friendly even though we cannot speak German. It’s super clean and beds were super comfortable- important when you have just flown for 24 hours. The area is so beautiful and relaxing.

The location was ideal for me, situated in a nice, quiet part of the area. And was within walking distance of Bad Homburg. The car park wasn't on the property of the hotel, so leaving the car there overnight didn't feel very secure. It seemed that local walkers could use this same car park too, so it was on a first come first served basis to get a parking space.

Although there was a mini bar in the room, there was no kettle or any means of making a coffee in the room. This was a big disappointment for me. Also, on my second night of staying there, I had returned to the hotel around 6pm after being out all day, the car park was full, but I managed to find a small space to park. When I asked if I could have an evening meal, I was told I would have to wait until about 8pm as the function room was currently being used for some party - hence why the car park was full. I was too tired to walk into town, so ended up not eating that evening. Poor customer service. So for this reason alone, I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice location with god breakfast and friendly staff

Breakfast Plentiful and tasty. Room very comfortable . Location exactly where I wanted to be in the Hardtwald woods but some people might want to be located closer to the centre of Bad Homburg

Hotel Hardtwald most certainly exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a quiet place to spend a weekend and were very happy with our choice. This hotel's location combines the quietness and peace of nature with close proximity to the town and restaurants if needed. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and a balcony. The staff was very friendly, and we felt comfortable communicating in English. A special bonus of our stay was meeting the adorable, playful dog Suzy :)The hotel does not serve dinners on weekends, but you can easily reach the town by car or on foot (approximately 15 minutes), or order delivery, which was not an issue.All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect to have a quiet moment for myself, the hotel is simply amazing and the staff friendly. I loved my room and the view onto the forest. Very quiet and relaxing!
