Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia-Midtown by IHG

The hotel is very well located, central and convenient to the activities we had planned. There are many good restaurants nearby. Beds were comfortable, the room was large, clean, and quiet. There was plenty of hot water and the lighting was good. We appreciated the convenience of the refrigerator and the microwave. The hours of availability of breakfast were generous, and the breakfast staff was helpful and accommodating.

The wifi dropped continually. The breakfast was average, and, unfortunately, used only disposable items.

Very nice staff, great location close to metro and city center. Room spacious and comfortable.

Location and comfort

Location is excellent- within walking distance of downtown, shops and restaurants. Parking is a bit confusing as it is separate from the hotel but just find an attendant and they will explain how it works. The rooms are clean (bathroom is small but what more do you need?) Staff is informative and friendly.

The hotel is in a great location with spacious rooms and a nice complimentary breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of the historic district and numerous restaurants.

This hotel was good. Staff was friendly. Room furnishings are a little dated. Good location close to downtown and Independence Hall. Breakfast was just a standard breakfast but it was good.

Parking is included with the room stay but it is not run by the hotel. It wasn’t the smoothest process. The exit gates are supposed to open when you pull up but they never did for us and I had to explain I was a hotel guest and show them my room key for them to let us out.

The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The location was great for sightseeing, plenty of public transportation options nearby. Parking in on-site garage was easy and convenient, priced well for a city. 24 hour water, coffee, tea station was amazing! I have never been to a hotel with this available and it was great! Laundry available if needed.

The beds were not very comfy, kind of hard for my liking. The breakfast options were vast but food quality could be improved.

The front desk person was very rude, I prepaid for my room so that I only needed to pay for the $50 deposit and $39 for parking. Their system showed I had not paid, I was forced to she the confirmation and my bank transactions. The person was so condescending and wanted my son and I gone she spoke so quickly I did not even hear when breakfast was. Today I checked my bank and was still overcharged, I will be coming to the city frequently for follow ups at CHOP but won’t be back.

How clean and spacious the rooms were. Also absolutely loved how many outlets there was to plug things in.

House keeping knocking on our door at 9 am while we were sleeping to come in and clean our room. Air conditioning was also not very cooling during the night even on the coolest setting.
