    Pros +

    • Breakfast is decent.
    • The breakfast included in the room rate was very good. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Our room was large and overlooked the gardens. We were upgraded which we enjoyed.
    • So delicious food - living up to the two hats they have. While it was only a night this place is just beautiful. Its not a corporate hotel at all - its like going to a chateaux in France or a villa in Italy.

    Cons -

    • Bathroom facilities are shabby, dirty balcony, beds are small and way too soft( not comfortable).
    • Some areas of the hotel looked like they could be painted - we noticed water damage on columns outside our room. It is a beautiful property which needs a bit of love.
    • Venue is tired/dated and in need of refurbishment. Not reflective of the price/5 star rating. Breakfast offering was poor.

The Estate grounds are stunning and the customer service personable and outstanding. We had a room that was on the cheaper side and it felt as though we were the poor cousins a little. Cobwebs/spiders in the corners of the ceiling, doors that were peeling, carpet that was old and floors creaky. But the bed was super comfy! And we thoroughly enjoyed our stay anyway. Breakfast was lovely too!

Delicious and reasonable sizing breakfast food. We stayed for a wedding, were provided 2pm check in. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

For the price, I did not feel that it was worthwhile. I wouldn't stay again. The gardens surrounding our room were not very well kept and the luxury felt missing.

People in the comments are really picky, as I am!.. but still… this place is very charming, spacious room, all the comfort you need, beautiful garden, super nice staff, delicious breakfast à la carte, great environment!

Yes it would deserve a tiny makeover to refresh a bit..

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Our room was lovely and plenty of extra areas to explore. We really enjoyed the pool & sauna, lounges where we played pool, we went on a bush walk, tasted delicious wines at the cellar door and every morning was kicked off just right with a delicious buffet breakfast and coffee! It was in a great location where we easily got Ubers to and from the wedding and events we were in town for. Can’t fault the place ☺️

The breakfast was great. The staff were lovely and it's a very beautiful area.

The room was tidy but the hotel is quite old. Though it adds to the charm, it could use more aggressive cleaning.

Reception staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was great too.

Walls were a bit thin so you could hear your neighbors

    Setting, location to Melbourne

It sounds silly to complain about anything. One thing - no extra amenities in room eg sanitary bags, spare tooth brush etc. idea. Many hotels in Japan have at reception amenities that you can take if you need.

We had a lovely time at Lancemore. As has been our stays at Lancemore properties before this one. We had a most comfortable stay. The staff were excellent our commendations to them for their friendliness and helpfulness and level of service. The food in the dining room was wonderful, again with exemplary service. It was an absolutely enjoyable weekend. Our family reunion was most successful because of these elements of our stay. Our main concern was the level of maintenance of the property. It needs a little more love. Anyone can and should have a wonderful time here, but the property will benefit from a some further maintenance and development.

There were few things to dislike but those that were obvious were the fact that more maintenance would have made the experience at this property vastly improved. The property is a little tired.

The location was beautiful. Moreover it has some very nice sitting areas.

The hotel is quite run down for what we pay. Moreover, during some weekdays they dont have any room service or restaurants so there is nothing to eat for dinner. So you need to plan ahead to make sure you have dinner somewhere else.

    Amazing food and service

Bathroom needs updating for the price point

The rooms were lovely and spacious, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The garden and property were absolutely beautiful, adding to the serene vibe. The staff were amazing, especially Lizzie at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The reception staff were super friendly and very accommodating as were the waiting staff. Breakfast was superb with wonderful, fresh buffet full English and cold selection of bircher muesli, breads, cheeses, meats, fruit. Sumptuous

The hotel needed a lick of paint. It was a bit tired in places.

    Surroundings of nature. Beautiful garden.

Electricity outlet is not ideal. Close to the ground and travelers adaptor cannot be plugged in. Wi-Fi is scattered, connection was not good.
