Pros +

  • View 1913 was great. The prime rib buffet at the Blue Ridge was exceptional. All of the staff were great. We can't wait to come back.
  • I enjoyed my mini getaway… lovely resort and staff were very friendly especially on the elevators.. I forgot the night manager that was working on the 16th but he helped me out greatly and gave me a great tour of the time allotted of what was open in the main building area.
  • Lovely facility. We stayed there during our honeymoon in 1984. Love the historic section...the large fireplaces especially. The staff were amazing.

Cons -

  • I can't think of anything we did not like.
  • There are only two things I can say about the property I didn’t like and that was the limited variety of food and drinks at the spa and not being able to take photos while in the spa area. The ambience is too beautiful to not be able to capture.
  • The window in our room didn't close properly (we stayed in the historic section). The pillows were very thin.

Beautiful, wonderful staff

Spa is too expensive for basic services in a facility that needs renovation (stained carpet, etc). Otherwise fantastic experience
