Hôtel Restaurant Zum Schnogaloch

The staff were great, very accommodating, friendly and efficient. The bar and restaurant outside the hotel was excellent. Altogether a very good experience.

My only complaint was the lack of climatisee in the facility. We came in the middle of a heat wave and the room on the 2nd floor was hot. Thankfully, they had a fan to mitigate the heat but unfortunately it wasn't enough for a comfortable night's sleep. Global warming is a reality!!

A nice historical (very old, apparently) house in the city centre.

A bit complicated (mostly unavailable) parking. Furniture and other parts of the room were very old and not always working (e.g. bathroom door was smaller than the hole > it could not be closed properly).

Not particularly welcoming staff. Really outdated rooms and facilities. Only two power outlets per room.

The location is great, close to the center, surrounded by very cute buildings and lots of restaurants. The restaurant food was ok.

It wasn't very clean and the beds were a little uncomfortable.

Zum Schnogaloch is a quintessential Alsatian inn, housed in a super-cute traditional house, offering rooms upstairs, and operating an authentic restaurant/bar downstairs and just outside the building. It is a no-nonsense experience, without the fancy extras, but it does the job and provides a super vibe with warm hospitality (as well as great food). I stayed one night during a cycling trip and would do it again. Great place!

The old room was dirty, not maintained. The beds were old too without any support

The house is in the center, yet in peaceful corner, so local shops were just a few minutes away. The house is old and charming. City parking spaces are near the hotel(around twenty spots). We enjoyed this small town, good place to stay if you are interested to visit the wine road.

Only curtain separates bathroom and the room, entrance to the shower was partly blocked by the sink.It was possible to hear what is happening in the corridor.

The room had comfy beds but shower/toilet area was not very private, with only a privacy curtain between the two areas.

We loved the building and the village, both very beautiful and typically from the Alsace, authentic, the scenery around is great too: grape fields, mountains, don't miss the Mont Sainte-Odile and it's not too far from Strasbourg by car.

The mattress was unconfortable because too soft. The breakfast is nice but very basic.

Very typical building dating back 200 years. Located in the town center.

It was a little difficult to find parking near the hotel. However, there is ample parking about 800 meters away near the entrance to the town.

Everything was nice. It s not a 5 stars hotel but it s not what you are looking for! Authentic house and kitchen ( the last one still owned by the grandma ) Food is so nice

Toilets are really small and the separation between room and toilet area is made of a curtain.. But it s clean and everything working great

This very beautiful 400 year old house is just amazing. It tells stories. And well, the rooms are not that big, but this makes part of the charm this hotel has. You walk the stairs the room, you can hear the wood cracking, as it has to be in such a place. The shower is very tiny the whole Bad room very small, but no problem on such a place. The breakfast very traditional Alsace way, fantastic baguette, good coffee. Nice traditional restaurant. A very nice experience.

Nothing in such a old house at this price.

Weather was soo hot room as well, and with windows open too much noise outside

It was a bit like staying with my grandma. No luxury, but authentic, welcoming and charming
