Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach/Mission Bay

Clean, newly remodeled rooms. Comfy beds and accommodating late arrivals. We booked after 1 am and were able to check in before 2 am. Thanks for a great experience.

No hair dryer in room. Fridge was not cold. Water too hot, if there's such thing. Breakfast could be better, but for the price can't complain. Great place to stay to save money for the rest of your trip.

Location, spacious room, newly renovated, free ample parking, price, staff, elevator, felt safe, mattress, microwave and refrigerator.

Breakfast was just ok. Disappointed that there wasn't any fresh fruit (bananas, apples, oranges), no oatmeal or waffles.

The location is great. All the sights we planned to visit with family were in the proximity of the hotel. We had issue with scheduling cleaning services but the manager was super helpful and understanding and helped us resolve all our issues. Highly recommended!

They could have added scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs.

The location was great for stay

They were under construction, and that was not noted at booking. So the “dust “ from all the construction was in the room and in the air. It will be very nice when completed, but during the construction just too messy.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was not bad.

The room we were offered, smelled horrible. It was a mildew smell and the carpet was coming off in a couple of areas. I understand that renovation of all the rooms was in process but to sell these rooms like this was a sacrilege. At the bottom of the stairs, someone's dog had left a gift and we had to step around it. Our stay was for 2 days and when we asked for another room, the one they gave us didn't smell like mildew this time but of old sweat socks. We ended up not staying the second day and getting our money back for that second day. Once they get done with the renovation, maybe it will be better. We can only hope.

Reasonable rates compared to other hotels in the area. Location of hotel is great - short walk to mission bay and a short drive to most other places to visit. Ideal for SeaWorld. Supermarkets and restaurants close by and a 7/11 across the street.Plenty of parking availableFriendly, helpful staff. Although the room itself was clean and room service came everyday with fresh sheets and towels, there was a lingering musky smell that hit us when we opened the door. As other reviews have said - I think it was the carpet (at first glance it looks ok) but noticed the bottom of our socks became filthy within minutes. We couldn't walk around the room without shoes.Air conditioner was so loud it rattled the front door when it was on.Found a half eaten sandwich behind the fridge unitBathroom door didn't close fully The first morning (Saturday), breakfast had a few options - toast, cereal, waffles, boiled eggs but seemed to go downhill every day after that - no bread or juice available from day 2. Our last day (day 4) we didn't even bother going to the breakfast room.We liked being on the ground floor but being close to the bin area/workmen storage it was a bit of a gathering point for the workmen who smoked outside our room. They didn't seem very considerate of guests.We could overlook most of these issues but the smell was quite overpowering and the carpet was disgusting!
