Windsor Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Pros +

• Location is great, Indiana - your desk person was great. The bed and living room were comfortable.
• Love the historical feel to this place! Very Clean, staff was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The room made me feel like I was at home because it does not look like a motel room.
• The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Cons -

• There were several items that need to be updated. Renovations and new furniture. Shower and bathroom outdated
• The bathroom needs LOTS of fixing. The height of the toilet is for a five year old. Adults just fall down onto it and struggle getting up. You need a taller toilet. The shower is HORRIBLE - the shower head needs to be replaced and repositioned. The head is too high. I could not reach. My husband “adjusted it for me…which is a stretch. The head does not properly wet/rinse anyone taking a shower. The tile around the tub needs to be properly cleaned to remove the mold and mildew. Several of the shutters throughout the room need to be repaired and/or replaced.Be careful touching the lower shutters on the right side of the bedroom window…you will get splinters in your hands! Attention to detail is needed. Spend a night there and see for yourself!
• The hotel front desk should have told us the best way to get to the room with the luggage cart. We had to end up carrying our suitcases up and down steps.
