Location and staff friendliness

Breakfast is excellent. So many different things to choose from. Fresh bagels, breads, croissants from the local bakery. Variety of cheeses, meats, vegetables, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, honey, jams, milk, juices and many other things. They do have boiled eggs at the breakfast table, but one can order them scrambled or any other way. Teas are at the breakfast table as well, coffee is being served by the breakfast stuff in a pot, but they do make espresso and any other kind by request.

Location was perfect, room was clean and great with 1 twin bed. Breakfast was very nice. I felt very comfortable and the price was great too

Beautiful breakfast room, very charming and classy! The breakfast buffet was amazing and such an fantastic presentation. Our room was unique and very comfortable. We enjoyed looking over the Haupstrasse.

The staff was great form reception to the waitstaff for breakfast. They upgraded our room which was roomy and and quiet. Loved the location and the hotel so we decided to stay a second night. One of best breakfast we had on our week long adventure.

I’ve never had a smaller room. Ever. I may be a solo traveler, but a little more space would have been lovely.

Great location in Old Town and the Christmas Markets. We easily walked the 20-25 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. Very nice staff, helpful, too. Great restaurants nearby, lots of wonderful shops and foods to experience!

Friendly staff, great location, comfortable bed, clean rooms with all the required facilities, amazing breakfast.

It is not good experience at all in terms of facilities and staff availability except location and one person Ashwin who really helped throughout. Overall it's very bad experience, I don't want to stay next time and don't recommend anyone too. Be careful, no hotel staff after 9 and mistakenly you forgot key then you will have to stay whole night. Also, in case of emergency no one is there to listen you because rooms don't have phone system and staff limited hours.

Staff, Staff availability for the limited time, unavailability of basis facilities in the room, no phone system to contact reception and in case of emergency, small lift and only one person or 2 thin person can be accommodated.

The only issue was that there were towels for two guests instead of four.

We booked last minute and such a great opportunity. Congratulations to have such a lovely cute Hotel. Estefi became a friend of us, recommending places to see and eat. Great breakfast and location. Definitely staying there again if passing by.

Really nice location for exploring the old city, and having a quiet room. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff was wonderful.

I extended my visit by several nights, and unfortunately they did not offer to move my bags into the new room, so I had to hurry back in the evening before reception closed yo get my bags and the new key.

Goldene Rose is tucked away just off a very busy thoroughfare. The building itself strikes a good balance of modern comfort and charm, with a friendly staff and terrific breakfast in their sunny atrium dining room.

The lockbox in my room was not large enough to fit a small laptop, making it less convenient to carry my backpack all day.
