Proximity Hotel

The level of opulence was apparent immediately upon entering the lobby through the spinning door and the fancy taxi being outside. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the room was immaculate. Hubby and I had brunch the next morning at the Bistro on-site, and it was delicious and wonderful as well! I was very surprised at the quality of this hotel! I will definitely be staying again! (Also, dont worry, this being the secret base for the X-men is safe with me!(The 'X's' in the logo))

The restaurant is absolutely the most delicious food I have eaten in ages and Jordan - one of the servers in the restaurants is absolutely AMAZING! They even baked us fresh chocolate cookies which were not on the menu! The rooms are large, very well and modernly decorated. Lots of amenities. The check in and check out staff were very nice and one even went out of their way to find the name of the mattress manufacturer used in the rooms because it was so comfortable and my friend wanted to order one for her house!

There is not a lot to do around the area but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself.

The room was spacious and clean. I loved the big windows with a green view. The hotel bistro/restaurant offered a great variety of food. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I was satisfied with my stay at the hotel, although the breakfast could have had more coffee options. I cannot think of anything negative and liked my stay.

Cleanliness and the Print Works Bistro

I travel to Greensboro often for swim meets. This is the only place I will stay. This and the O'Henry. They are safe, conveniently located and the staff is always lovely. I love the Proximity because they have the best in room coffee ever! Speaking of rooms, they are spacious and very comfortable. Print Works Bistro is delicious for either a sit down meal or room service.

Not their fault, but the first room our neighbors were having quite a good time. Ahem. Quite a good time. Like so good I thought I was being punked. It was SO LOUD. Keep in mind Proximity has really heavy doors and concrete like walls. So it must have been one heck of a romp. Being there with my kid, I went and asked if we could switch rooms and they were immediately accommodating. I have stayed here many times and this was our first time having this happen.

The only complaint I have is the room could have been colder. Other than that everything was great.

The only thing that kept me from giving it a top rating was that every blackout curtain had stains on them, particularly in the bathroom. These need to be changed out.
