Pros +
- Although under renovation, the hotel itself was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive.
- Location and price
- It was a 7 minute drive to downtown Athens (but also near a location that services displaced people so there were a lot of them wandering around.)
Cons -
- The location is very unsafe and has a liquor store in the parking lot which stays open all night so there are lots vehicles and fights all night. Less than favorable people will approach you, there's a mental facility across the street as well.
- The rooms were too humid and musty. Most likely due to the indoor pool and design of the ventilation system. There were cute little dehumidifiers in the rooms, but they did not remove the dampness.
- The hotel clearly has an air filtration problem. There are dehumidifiers in every room.?that?s indicator number one. Our first room smelled so strongly of urine we couldn?t stay and the new room was musty and had multiple air fresheners stuck on the wall!
