The location

Air conditioning that vented out of the room. It just pumped the hot air into the room making it inefficient

The staff were very cordial and helpful. They saw quickly to all our needs, and were willing to hold our luggage the whole next day while we visited the Herreninsel.

There was no dedicated heating in the room; only small space heaters for a large amount of space - but this is only a problem if visiting in winter. We also had to carry our luggage up to the third floor; there is no elevator - however, this is only a problem if you pack heavy like we did.

Wasn’t informed that the venue covered such a large area and ended up in house 2 which faced a very busy car park on the weekend we stayed with quite a distance to breakfast. No biggie but would have been nice to have been told in advance. Hotel was very clean and comfortable but no air con which on that weekend the temps were 26-28 degrees.

Lovely Alpine style hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. It is right next to the Chiemsee-Bahn Steam Railway and the Ferry to Herren-Chiemsee Palace. There are some limited restaurants nearby but you may need to go into the main town for food or a beer which is around 25mins walk. Walking along the path at the side of the Chiemsee Bahn saves you walking up the big hill between the two parts of the town. I will visit again.

Breakfast was excellent and location is top (in hotel N. 1).

The hotel was disappointing. We tought, we'll stay in hotel by the lake, but they put us in their hotel N. 2, which is really outdated, old and un unrenovated hotel, also creepy. We didn't feel cosy theere.

Not again. For sie not for the money

Value for money very bad, much creaking of the floor in the room. bad mattresses, old furniture

Location, location, location. It's right by the Prien harbor, steps away from the ferries to the islands.

Bed was broken when we got in late to our room. Some of the mattress supports were detached. It was past the reception desk closing by the time we got to the room so we took a picture, suffered through a night's sleep and reported it in the morning, expecting it to be fixed by the time we got back from the islands. It wasn't. The evening receptionist was lovely and helpful and chased the issue down and had her boss come fix it but it ended up sitting around a couple of hours which left us frustrated.

The photos were obviously photoshopped and were definitely not representative of the actual rooms. We paid extra for a lake view and indeed we did have a lake view from the balcony if you wrapped your toes through the wooden railing. There was absolutely no redeeming features

On the “fine print” it stated flat screen tv in each room but because of recent storms the tv did not work. There was no WiFi in the actual room but apparently there was in the common areas. No good when I have sensitive work! Booking.com should actually take hotels like this off their site!

The breakfast was great. I liked the choices and the staff.

The shower was like a birdcage in size.

Not a complaint, but intending visitors should be aware that the Luitpold annexe is the budget option; perfectly clean, comfortable and functional, but not as swish as the main building.

Not same as we seen in pictures room so old not clean smells bad for money no worth and receptionist so rude totally it's scam

The location was spot on! And it was comfy and clean.

It felt a bit older than expected, but still nice.

Great location, amazing breakfast with an outdoor seating area, flexibility for check in and option of late check out (if possible)

The number of parking spaces was limited, the charger for electric cars was blocked, by guests who have no place to park with cars.

Everything was just perfect, one of the best places I have ever been to.Clean, beautiful view, quiet and just at the lake. Good breakfast.The restaurant and the staff were amazing.

Location is very good.5mins walk to the lake if ur staying in house 2.Felix the owner/manager was extremely polite and lovely chatting to him.Breakfast is your typical continental cured years,boiled and scrambled eggs and fresh rolls and fresh juices.The room we stayed in was very basic but for the price we paid we got value.Slept well too.Mosquito candles are a great idea but didn't really work.Not the fault of the hotel at least they tried.

Pillows are very soft and the cleaning guy wanted 5e for extra water.We bought our own instead.Mosquitos ? outside dining are horrendous ? bring repellent for after 5pm.Il try stay in house 1 next time.Waited 20 mins to checkout.

The location was great - directly next to the ferry pier, opposite the lovely “Chiemseebahn” and very close to the Prienavera swimming pool - the staff very friendly, the food excellent.
