Hotel Almwirt

We were returning from a business trip and decided to stop here. We had a really great experience: the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. A pleasant stay in every way! Highly recommended.Angela

Awesome staff, all very kind, communicative, smiling. No issue with requests and amazing breakfasts. Kitchen / restaurant - great!

Ratio price vs quality. I was unlucky having huge space apartment in the 2nd floor without any warm water in the evenings (only in the mornings). Cold space and very tiny covers. But clean. Nothing special for this price.

One of staff was very rude to me. There wasn't any heater due to which was cold in night. I got common cold and had fever.

A nice hotel that has a restaurant on the ground floor. Clean, tidy. A great place to stay overnight if you plan to visit Otkoberfest. Pleasant prices. Munich is approximately 20 minutes by S-Bahn.

If not for the party issue we had, the hotel would have been good. If you don't get unlucky like we did you will probably be fine.

Stay was completely ruined by the very loud party going on in the restaurant downstairs (operated by the hotel). We could hear the booming music and other noise very clearly in our room until 2am, which is completely unacceptable especially given what we were paying for the stay. When we asked for a refund we were told there's nothing they could do. There was no warning of the party - the hotel should provide a warning to guests booking on the same night as parties like this, in case they are just looking for a quiet stay.

Room was great but no tea or coffee although water was supplied. The train station to the centre of Munich is on a 10 min walk

The head bar guy was a bit abrupt in his manner towards us the barmaid/ waitress was very nice and accommodating.No staff on to check me in as I arrived late probs my fault but if it wasn't for a guest arriving with his key I would have been outside for the night . There are some cafe / cake shops a pizza restaurant very close also an ice cream parlour and cafes in a square beside the train station . Double beds only.not so good if you are with a friend.

It was very clean and the staff was wonderful. Enjoyed the restaurant. Food was excellent.

The hotel is located in an industrial/commercial area but has the appearance of an Alpine hut. The rooms are new and functional; the furnishings are typical of a refuge with wood everywhere. It is possible to park on the street or in the garage. Good Wi-Fi. Good value for money

The room was clean but I would not stay here again.

We chose this property because we had a car. It was on the outskirts of the city and it stated “free onsite parking” so we wouldn’t have the hassle of city parking. When we arrived, I ran inside to ask where to park. The girl said to go in the garage. No mention of a fee or mention of street parking. Long story short, they charged us $15 to park. When we mentioned that is stated “free onsite parking”, they said it was free street parking. Street parking is not onsite parking. I’m looking through the informational flyer in the room. It states parking is $13. They made us pay $15. I mention that to the front desk and there was no attempt to remedy it. Conveniently, the manager/owner was on vacation. I know it’s not a ton of money but I really just felt like they pulled a fast one and I was being taken advantage of. After we got settled, we had a drink at the restaurant. When we asked for the check, the waitress quoted a price. I handed her a larger bill. She did not return all the change. When I questioned her about it, she actually said she assumed I would give her a tip. Excuse me? You don’t just take money from people! It seemed like they were constantly scamming us. Also, the room was facing a very busy street. It’s extremely noisy if its too hot to close the windows.

The Almwirt is a great place to stay in Haar. Convenient for the S-bahn and local businesses while also being a friendly and welcoming place for a relaxing evening.
