Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen, An All-Inclusive Resort

Loved the staff (restaurants, pool, & entertainment especially)!! Hotel employee took incredibly care of us at Rinc�n & Spice. Hotel employee while dining at Spice as well!

Did not enjoy the 11PM cutoff for alcohol service on property. The water closet within the bathroom was in a poor state, with the shower glass moving around in the frame and fruit flies constantly appearing even after killing some.

Everything was spectacular, everything very clean, the attention from the moment you walk through the door is exceptional. All employees are very attentive and with very good manners.

The only thing I did not like is when we were eating at the restaurant on the beach side, there were cats and gaspachos walking through the restaurant almost every day but more in the afternoons.

The staff was fabulous. The entertainment was over the top. The staff was constantly cleaning.

NO......Juan in checkin tried to accommodate us to stay poolside. I was only guaranteed 3 nights poolside at the time of reservations. Juan moved us to the best room possible. He went above and beyond. SUPER GUY!!!

Food was good for the two restaurants that were open and it’s close to playa tourist areas

Only two restaurants were open we had no options for restaurants or entertainment..main lobby doubles as entertainment area which wasn’t the best we have stayed at multiple all inclusives and this one was rated 5 stars it didn’t even compare to the 3

Food was great. Staff was great. Cantina bar was the best bar we have been to. Really enjoyed the outdoor fitness classes.

In the room, there was a motion detector light. If you got up at night to use the bathroom, the light would stay on for 5 minutes.

The staff was very attentive and extremely friendly. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was so festive. Every moment was pleasant.

Very clean hotel. Friendly staff keeps a drink in your hand at all times! The pools were nice & not overly crowded. All the restaurants we ate at were great, I probably gained 10lbs! Had grilled lobster for lunch & dinner about every day!

The beach wasnt very good because of the seaweed so we just hung around the pools & soaked up the sun !

The location is the best thing about it. the spice manager was awesome!

Drink selection and quality were disappointing. None of their cocktails tasted as good as from local restaurants and bars back in USA. Bartenders don't seem to be eager or well trained in recommendations. out of ingredients to make drinks on menu.

A lot of extras are are not included in all- inclusive. We were told Premium booze, cabanas by pool( some days were free) certain restaurants, etc. A lot of upselling but all in all- decent place to stay

Overall friendliness of everyone and the service was awesome in the lobby and restaurants.

I reserved a happy birthday package to be prepared for our room for my wife and it was sent to the wrong room and I was still charged for it.

The room and privacy

I was not aware of the smelly seaweed that has been washed up to the shore. We were not able to even get close to the beach and walking around resort was hard because of the smell. Other things were wrong too that I do not have enough room to write about

The staff was incredible, the food was great and the pool was amazing!

This hotel was wonderful! Beautiful property, great service, nice room, and delicious food.

It is right in the action of Playa Del Carmen. It is very close to 5th Avenue shopping and right next to the ferry. The beach is public so it was always very crowded. My husband and I prefer a less-crowded beach so this was the only negative.

Exceeded expectations. Location is perfect to downtown, staff are incredibly attentative, food was incredible, and evening entertainment was great. I would 100% recommend this resort to others.

Very small thing, we stayed in a room with two double beds and the beds were rather springy (expected a little nicer).

I really liked the location. And the best thing is it's adult only resort!

The room smells, and I think it's because of the weather. But still it's good resort and I'll come back for sure. Tip: make sure you get the bed you want because we reserved for the king bed but ended up getting double queen bed saying it's not guaranteed
