Paradise Bay Hotel

The view was excellent. The building was very clean except for the carpet that smelled musty....probably too much moisture so close to the sea. Should be replaced with tile. Food was great! Room was huge!

The towels were small and rough. The bathtub did not have a shower curtain around it for showers. The beds were HARD!

I like the variation of salads.The cleanliness of the dining hall.

The soups could be done better.Supervisor to check food on display to be reimbursed.Our beds were two single beds which were too small in size.

Very clean n tidy.. Get the house keeping everyday.

Dinner reception staff talked like wired. He Don't finish talking with first guest rather welcoming the another guest seemed not so good. We paid in the dinning for every dinner but still he had to inform the price like the way that we may not being able to pay.. May be this is attitude of Malta residence. I Didn't find Malta people so nice with communication. Otherwise everything was beyond exectation.

Breakfast and dinner where great.

It was raining and we found the floor in the room full of water. The indoor pool is cold and pool area in not heated at all and you can even feel the cold wind coming inside from the wall gaps, while your on the deck chair.

Very closed to ferry but far from cities. We were not aim to use beach or pool i can not comment that part and it was end of summer season.

Old furnished, far from everywhere

Location is the only good thing about the hotel.

It's very old, as soon as you enter the hall you can smell an old, dusty carpet. The room was extremely old as well, hairdryer that l've never even seen in my life, it's almost vintage.. Old beds, and only one pillow per bed, the phone was broken (the cord was falling off) so we even can't to call to the reception.The AC is extremely loud, we couldn't even hear each other well because of the noise, and also struggled to sleep. Breakfast was also bad, it seems to have a lot of options, but food quality is not there, everything feels sooo affordable, cheapest coffee and tea. The entire hotel needs renovation.

Location access to the ferry was convenient. Outdoor pool view was gorgeous & we thought that was the view we would get but we didn’t.

Room view description was extremely misleading. Our room faced directly into a very bright ferry building light 24/7 which was listed as an “ocean view” there was no way to know this was not facing the pool & Paradise Bay. No one clarified which was a missed opportunity to upgrade us & avoid our feelings of disappointment. No not disturb sign was not respected & while on a day trip through Gozo the staff moved all of my delicate camera gear and lingerie. There is an electric switch that is illuminates the DND sign which is unpowered if you leave the room. YET staff clearly must turn power on in rooms in order to clean. They did so and choose to ignore and turn off our do not disturb sign. This added to our feelings of unease and misleading staff. Pool access was exceedingly limited and we were not allowed access (9am -6pm). It seems the resort is design as an all inclusive stay onsite type place and very dated with a unique smell in the halls.

Walking distance to the ferry service to Gozo Island, Comino Island and the Blue Lagoon. Has a nice view of the ocean and has a big swimming pool with lots of lounge chairs. Spacious room with big balconies. Nice buffet selection.

Somewhat outdated furnitures in the lobby and in the room. Pillows are uncomfortable, too bulky for me.

The only good thing is that is close to the Gozo Ferry Terminal and the staff are very professional.

The hotel is a bit old. For young couples it might not be the best option. It is very far away from everything, the vibe is for elderly people. The breakfast was very bad. Very few options and not so tasty. The quality of the breakfast was bad.The hotel does not accept cash…all cashless payment.We had issues with the air conditioner in the room. They fixed it but still the room did not get cold enough (summer in Malta is extremely hot)

We loved the huge salt water pool, definitely our favorite part of our stay here! Floating in it was so relaxing! The rooms were spacious, had a safe, a fridge and a nice bath tub. The two pool areas were busy but had plenty of sun beds available. We were able to find a parking spot quite easily every day, so it was very convenient. We also arrived from Gozo so the location next to the ferry terminal was perfect. However, there isn't much else around but we had a rental car so it was easy to reach plenty of different beaches, town and sights in this side of the island. Overall we did enjoy our stay a lot and would be happy to visit again, even with the cons I mentioned.

The A/C was not good. It didn't really cool down the room that much at all. They had somebody come and take a look at it very fast after complaining about it which was positive, but it only helped a bit. The A/C is clearly old and could not handle the +30'C< heat anymore. There is a ceiling fan too but having it on all the time is not an option at least for us, causing a sore throat after a night slept with it on. The age of the hotel is visible in other parts too, some of the furniture is old, the beds were not very comfortable and the corridors are long and a bit intimidating, no safety issues though. There are lots of people at the pool, so not the most relaxing experience always. Also, having a gym was one reason to choose this hotel but the condition the equipment was on was not good. Some of them were broken and thus unusable, maybe even a safety hazard? Adding couple more things and fixing the broken equipment would make this gym good enough but now it was just sad. The store had a big selection of things but most prices were way too high, so didn't really purchase anything, it was cheaper to do a grocery run with our rental car to a super market few kilometres away.

​Pros​Excellent pools and sunbeds: The hotel has four large saltwater pools, so you can always find space to swim. There were also plenty of sunbeds available.​Spacious rooms and good cleaning: The rooms are very large and are cleaned well.​Prime location: The hotel is located between two sandy beaches, which is unusual for Malta. It also has easy access to bus routes to explore the rest of the island and is close to the ferry terminal for trips to Comino and Gozo.​

Cons​Outdated rooms: The furniture in the rooms is old.​Poorly maintained towels: Many of the towels were stained or had hair on them, even after being changed daily.​Maintenance and check-in issues: We had to switch rooms on the first day because the balcony and bathroom doors wouldn't close properly. The original room also had twin beds instead of the double we requested. We had to wait an hour for a new room despite arriving at the scheduled check-in time, and the hotel charged us a €15 cleaning fee. We noticed other guests also had to change their rooms.​Poor gym facilities: The gym is small and poorly equipped, with only one bench, three bicycles, and two broken rowing machines. It looked abandoned.​Disappointing breakfast: The breakfast was mostly a bland English-style breakfast with limited options.

huge room, food was great. There was an infinite number of pools :-) . Service was really good with nice people and very helpful. We are really satisfied!

Maybe the main windows would need more insulation since there was a bit too much noise from the outside, in case your room is facing the sea

Location near ferry to Gozo, nice views, big room.

The food was horrible. I regret getting a stay with board. The pool mighy not be good for everybody. There is a half meter pool for kids but most of the pool is too deep to stand, so all tge non-swimmers stood on the steps. Salt water. Umbrellas to small to shade you entirely. Very hot in the lobbies. Not great.

Sound of waves, so calm and relaxing. The stuff is so kind and at service. The diner is awesome. Close to Comino island and Paradise Bay beach which is one of the best in Malta.

Water in pools, even though it's salty water yet could be better.

I liked the location, since it was near the Paradise Bay and the Comino and Gozo Islands. I also liked the fact that they offered the Public Transport Card downstairs in the lobby.

The customer service. The customer service was absolutely terrible in regards to hospitality. I did not feel welcome and the hotel staff were cold with me. I asked for information about planning my wedding and they didn’t respond frequently. They respond once in a while and it would be vague information. Then the marriage planner proceeded to ask me for my credit card information. I declined, since there was no sense of punctuality. When I finally arrived to my room, the Ironing Board and Iron were broken. When I asked for it to be fixed, no one fixed it. There is a lot of room for improvement, I hope that Paradise Bay Resort staff improves with this information.

Rooms and bathrooms nice and large, enough space for additional equipement like washing machine. Many pools including one inside. Very well for kids as most pools are shallow.

We had half board and food was bad. Breakfast same all the time - English breakfast. Dinner had more choices, seafood salads, cackes, ice crem. Over all quality 5.

The hotel was very comfortable, is in a convenient location. The room was very spacious and the bathtub was a nice touch.

We have been guests of this hotel several times! It is clean and the staff is friendly.

We have been guests of the hotel many times! But this time our stay was not good! Extremely noisy! And there was some kind of renovation and there was a constant noise from some big machine! Otherwise it is very clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good!

The indoor pool is big. Great amneties. Room was very good size . Hotel was spick and span Free use of safe

The location and the facilities of this resort do not fail to impress. The sunset view is particularly stunning. While somewhat outdated in design, the rooms are still in good shape and apparently in good hands as well. The lobby area is nicely refurbished. Parking is comfortable, the staff was quite professional and the bars operate at very reasonable prices.

This is a large resort and public areas tend to get quite busy. The sound insulation of the rooms is very poor. There was nothing at the breakfast that I could call tasty, but the selection is wide (keep trying :)) and for the price it's still a fair deal for anyone preferring quantity over quality. Dining alternatives are at a 10m driving distance, not really an option for those arriving by public transport.
