Wellnesshotel Thermae 2000

Room was great, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of options and hot bread fresh out of the oven.

Spa is great but maybe I was unlucky and got a very dirty WC more than once... They need to increase their cleanliness frequency. We stayed during NYE and the dinner+party was very expensive for what it was (barman didnt know how to do cocktails and the snacks during the party were basic)

Some of the staff were ignorant, had to wait a lot for them to notice us, and it wasn’t busy at all (3tables were used)

Location, quiet hotel, comfortable room (premium), good breakfast

Too crowded in the pool, limited and expensive restaurant, confusion about the no swimwear days, lack of lift, no extra services (massages) which are included by other third party sellers, expensive parking

The room was big and clean, with a bath.Staff was really helpful and welcoming.The wellness is impressive.

Spa: The spa is wonderful. A really lovey renovation has been done. The facilities are beautiful and well cleaned. Hotel: Hotel staff were lovely. The bed was comfy, able to connect Netflix on the TV was great, honesty mini bar available with alcohol and snacks. The only benefit to staying at the hotel is the 1hr early access to the spa before the public are allowed in and getting access to spa on your check out day (but cost wise not really worth it - one day at the spa is enough).

Spa: Restaurant staff were grumpy. Service is slow. Hotel: The room was freezing, even with the heating on high. The bathroom was very cold particularly, water doesn't drain well in the tub and the water pressure was inconsistent. The room, although renovated, felt very cheap and cold - metal bed head, art on the wall covered in fingerprints and scratches etc.

We wanted to enjoy a small romantic getaway with my wife, and to my surprise the staff kindly provided us a complimentary room upgrade. The room was absolutely amazing — we had never experienced such luxury before. It truly made our stay unforgettable. Thank you once again!

The endless access to the swimming pools and saunas. I liked the system they have with the braclet and you can be seated anywhere with your robe and enjoy yourself. You can spent the entire day in the water if you want. The food is ok. It's walkable distance from the Cave-Christmass market. There's a sauna with great view towards the forest.

The small pools with the waterjets are always full and you have to squizee in first till you "enforce" others to leave. Other than that the hotel has a lot to offer. Easy weekend destination. I would prefer to have more days with swimming suite for the pools and the saunas.

We got a very nice renovated room, clean and spacious. Good choice of saunas.

The staff during the checkout has been extremely slow. The employee was not able to process any guest activity on his own all the time we were staying in the line (around 20 mins). He tried to click something in his PC but every time (literally for every guest check in or check out) he was waiting for somebody from his colleagues to come and assist him. Either the hotel CRM they use is slow and unfriendly, or they let interns to work without proper onboarding and supervision. The checkout process definitely could be optimized (e.g. just send the invoice online a few hours before the checkout to enable self-service options).

The staff was friendly, they gave the impression of the importance of my being here. They answered at any time of the day quickly and to the point. The nature as well as the staff are invaluably beautiful!

The cleanliness in the hotel room as well as the electricity and plumbing were a tight three. Fortunately, our stay at the hotel was short, otherwise I would like to get a more favorable room. The elevator looked dangerous because of the turbulent jolts) but it's your business to use it or not, as there are always steps. But in my opinion, technically it would not hurt to put it in order.

Great relaxing days at Thermae 2000. The staff is friendly and always happy to help you. We enjoyed both the facilities of the spa and the hotel room. The room is clean and you have everything you need in there. We especially liked the bath in the room. All the drinks were included in mini bar, which was surprisingly pleasant. We also received nice gifts (a face cream and a face mask) from their own brand. The pool area is big, not overcrowded. The water is pleasantly warm in every pool. We loved Turkish hamam and their sauna rituals. So many possibilities to relax like special wellness, massage or some interesting activity you find on the board.

The breakfast could be improved. There was no big choice of the meal. And we would like to have more “badkledingdagen” during the week.

Staff was excellent. Food was really good - not the pub food, but the three course menu. Lots of different Spa facilities to choose from. Some might need a bit of an update.

Extremely loud air-conditioning in the room. The cleanliness of the rooms and the facilities can definitely be improved.

The Spa is my favourite in the Netherlands. And the hotel staff plus accommodation are superb.

I didn’t realize that the room I booked had no air conditioning (other options do). A mobile unit was provided, but it was a bit noisy and not very effective. Also, it would be nicer if parking fees were included, as it costs €15 per day.

The spa area is just amazing and the best I’ve ever been to. There are several saunas for every preferences, different pools to cool down and also plenty of sun beds and other places to rest. The spa couldn’t be better. The rooms were also comfy, but only a bit warm. The „AC“ doesn’t work properly and is extremely loud and can’t be used at night for this reason.

It’s a strange policy that you MUST wear a bathrobe everywhere in the hotel. You can allow guests to do so but it shouldn’t be mandatory to sit in your bathrobe at dinner and breakfast. Just let the people decide what they want to wear as.

30 minutes riding from Liège, nearby Maastricht, 2 minutes from Valkenburg in the splendid countryside of Cauberg, Thermae2000 is a high standard thermal baths hotel.Personnel is really sweet and very professionnal, opgietingen zijn top and the place is also very well maintained, beautiful garden and CLEAN.It is always an utmost pleasure to come and relax, while being attended by such generous people as the team over there. Thanks guys, you've got the secret of it all: to do it with love and generosity.

Contruction

The facilities were great notwithstanding the extensive construction work going on in the hotel and spa. The facilities that were accessible were great.

A pity that the sauna was all dedicated to swimwear free public.
