Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas

Great location along the beach walk, got a spacious, well equipped room, though not there long enough to take full advantage. Castaway Restaurant on site was nice, good food decent price for the area, plus great bartenders-servers. Nice garden view balcony with a slight view go the ocean

Room was not well cleaned when I checked in. Some leftover finger or toe nail clipping on the floor. Room was quiet for a couple days until a family with little kids moved in next door. Could hear them walking up the steps, slamming doors, crying.

The property was was always pristine

I liked the kitchen in unit

When we booked property we’re told the premium garden villas were updated but this was not the case with 1st unit. Chipped tile, dirty around baseboards, track holding chain to light falling off ceiling, patio door dirty, difficult to open and close, bottom drawer of nightstand broke so could not use, paint cans under cabinet. Front desk advised, manager came over to see unit. Gwen at front desk was wonderful and very accommodating, got us newer unit.

Have been coming to mkv for 10 years. Location is great and condos are beautiful

On a windy day monday feb 10 th Hawaii electric electively discontinued power to the island for 24 hours. As they were afraid of fire even though it had been raining hard for 4 days We never received notice from the hotel of the shutdown. The staff were aware of this shutdown in advance. The hotel phones did not work. We lost food in our refrigerator and the staff had little to no information as to why that happened. Our cells phones weren’t working either and no lights were on anywhere on the property. If there would have been an emergency we would have had problems. They have a generator but it hasnt been hooked up yet. When I expressed my concerns to the staff they had no answers. Also out of a 14 day stay the laundry facilities were out of order for 8 days. The reason we chose mkv is because of those amenities. This visit to Maui and mkv were very disappointing.
