Bare bones….. nothing in unit not even a beach chair, umbrella or cooler

The price was great. liked being on the beach. the ocean view from the balcony was gorgeous. room was spacious. room was clean. Honestly no complaints about the property. I plan on staying here again someday.

Security guard was a little rude to be very honest. We sat in chairs that was (in a area that needs to be cleared in case of a fire)We sat in chairs that were already there, and although I understood where he was coming from, he was just kind of an ass on the way he was telling us to move. He could have asked way nicer and said "hey I need you guys to move, if there was ever a fire this would be a safety concern."Again his tone of voice was just kind of rude. I would suggest making a sign so that people know about this, and do not move a chair an a unathorized section of the pool area.

Love the location right on the beach and the view from our balcony. Going for long walks along the shore straight from our room and watching the sea turtles from our balcony (as well as the sunsets) were some of our favorite things to do in Maui, and this place provided that opportunity. Kitchen was great to be able to make a few meals to save some on eating out and also helpful was the in-room washer/dryer.

As many other reviews have indicated, the cockroaches are a problem. What is perhaps worse is the property doesn’t really care and chalks it up to being in a tropical location. Sure you’ll have a few cockroaches in a tropical location, but when you are seeing multiple every day, in all locations including crawling on my wife’s face while sleeping waking us up at 4am, that’s a problem. We have lived in Florida (tropical place with plenty of cockroaches) and wooded Alabama (also plenty of cockroaches), and have visited many tropical places and have not seen as many consistent cockroaches as our 5 nights here. Even on this trip we visited two other Hawaiian islands and did not see cockroaches at the other places we stayed. The hotel needs to contract more frequent pest control services or hire a new company altogether because they have a problem. It advertises as a 4-star resort, but I’d give it 3 stars at best.
