Located on Waikiki Beach overlooking Diamond Head, the Halekulani - NO RESORT FEE hotel features 3 restaurants, a live jazz lounge, and a day spa. A spacious lanai is provided in each guest room. Free WiFI is available throughout the property. A fresh fruit bowl and signature chocolates welcome guests in each room at Halekulani - NO RESORT FEE. All guest rooms include a luxurious private bathroom with plush bathrobes, premium toiletries, marble vanities, deep soaking tub and a separate glassed-in shower. A flat-screen TV is also provided. The oceanfront, internationally-awarded La Mer restaurant, open daily for dinner, features fine French cuisine utilizing fresh, local Hawaiian ingredients. Orchids restaurant offers seafood specialties for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a sumptuous Sunday brunch. Oceanfront casual terrace dining and nightly entertainment is available at the landmark A House Without a Key restaurant. The Spa Halekulani - NO RESORT FEE offers a complete menu of treatments incorporating traditional Polynesian rituals. Massages, facials, body therapies and beauty services are offered. A full-service business center is located on site. A heated swimming pool with glass tile mosaic and views of Waikiki Beach is offered, and pool attendants are available to fulfill guest requests. Upscale shopping and dining at Ala Moana Shopping Center is 10 minutes’ drive away. The Halekulani - NO RESORT FEE is 35 minutes’ drive from Honolulu International Airport.

Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform Halekulani - NO RESORT FEE of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Hotel’s SpaHalekulani & Premier Suite modernization project will take place from January 8, 2024, to the end of April 2024. As the safety and comfort of our guests are our top priority, we will do our best to minimize any inconvenience. Please know that the hotel will remain open, and we will be offering our full range of services, including spa treatments throughout the dates of the project. Work will take place on weekdays (Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm) and will be limited to a designated area of the hotel.

We liked absolutely everything about this hotel. The staff were always helpful and in some cases anticipated our needs without us asking. The housekeeping staff were in our room early, which in some other hotels had not always the case.
The small gestures and unique gifts each night. It was different from having the typical piece of chocolate on your pillow each night.

Cons -

Given a partial oceanview room when paid for a oceanfront room.
The only issue of concern was that switches for the room lights and the do not disturb sign are touch sensitive and totally flat. This is a real problem for people who are totally blind. We did mention the idea of putting a Braille overlay on the panel.
