Good for the price but they do charge for many things that at other hotels are complementary. But again, the stay price was good for the area.
This is a remodeled older hotel. So bathroom is small and could be a little better. Perhaps it was just the room that we got. Overall the room was comfortable.

The location was really central, which is both good and bad. Good being super close to lots of things, easy to walk to and from most places in town even later at night. But being in downtown it is a little louder at night, though that really didn’t bother us. Tours out to the waterfalls etc pick you up right outside the front door, where I should say the doorman was absolutely lovely. We had so many chats with him and got lots of info about Portland so say hello! The hotel itself was nice, and what we needed. Bed was really comfy, room had all the amenities you would expect. And for the price we were really pleased.
The only gripe is that the checkin/checkout process was a bit confusing. You’re charged a holding fee per night, which although pretty standard these days, was on the heftier side ($75pppn I think), and all of the details of the “amenity fee” (which thankfully was included in our prepayment), weren’t really explained. We only found out about the “free” 5pm drink via reading other reviews. Just a warning to do your deep research on places beforehand so you know what you’ve paid for!

Great stay. Fab location in downtown Portland, lovely and well maintained building and rooms, very helpful staff. Morning coffee in the lobby and secure luggage after check-out were a welcome plus. Very comfortable rooms including beds. Quiet too - even though our room directly faced SW Broadway, we slept well.

Comfy bed, big room, nice lobby, friendly and helpful staff
Downtown is not a lively place at night, lots of homeless people around.

Room was comfortable and a good size. The equipment in the fitness centre was top notch. Good value. Staff very personable
Bathroom could do with updating. Would have liked room cleaned during our stay(3days).

Elegant interior, smells great. Friendly and approachable staff. Got a 'superior room'. Very spacious. Huge windows, gorgeous views. Comfortable bed, great bedding, good pillows. CRITICAL: The guest has control over the thermostat/temp in the room! Small bathroom but with everything one needs. Love the makeup remover towelettes. Upon request, staff brought more towels and extra pillows up at 10pm. Excellent location, plenty of places to walk to.
The shampoo/conditioner options, while nice-smelling, to me felt like they left a little residue. It could have also been some hardness of the water, couldn't tell.

My check-in experience and staff friendliness was really good. My room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. The lobby offered free coffee (delicious), and water until about noon. The lobby music was fantastic (chill vibes). The artwork in reception and downstairs was quirky and interesting and there was a local paper and lots of material to look at for inspiration around Portland. Portland itself is individual, relaxed and beautiful. Downtown is vibrant. As a solo female I felt safe walking around by myself and nobody bothered me.
The new Mayor has a lot of work to do addressing the inequality and homelessness issue of this city.

Reception was very hospitable. Provided great recommendations. Room very clean. Beds very comfortable. Good security. Key card elevator.
The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar though the receptionist did provide local options. Also there was only one plug by the bed so only one of us had access to our phone while they were charging.
