Embassy Suites by Hilton Des Moines Downtown

the only things i liked was the location that’s all

there was bugs in the room . the smell in the room was not pleasant. breakfast was alonso horrible.

Staff was really nice

Hotel beds were sub par. Stayed as a wedding party guest and wanted to stay near my family. No go. Had to change my room 3 times. It was so cold to sleep even when I turned the temp up. Terrible experience.

Location to area needed

Dirty, holes in carpet in room, no program sheet on telephone which meant we couldn’t call front desk without physically going down to the front desk.

It was gross black mold on walls, toilet ran the whole time, and the sink and shower didn’t drain!

The rooms haven’t seen the light since the hotel was opened. There is dirt, dust, stains, rust and just gross all over the hotel. The beds sit on the floor and are rock hard. The bathroom had hair, crusty elements and overall unclean. The worst ES.

The staff & breakfast

The couch was sunk in, the wall was covered in candle wax, the hand washing sinkwas loose and rotated when trying to wash your hands, but onto it off the rust in the bathtub topped it off

Clean rooms, great location, easy to park, most places in the city are walkable, Excellent breakfast, nice pool area and workout facility

The pull out couch mattress in room 633 is the worst mattress I have ever slept on. It needs to be replaced.

Location, staff, spacious room

It's a litttle long in the tooth. Just some minor touchups would make a big difference

It's very beautiful and convenient and the stuff is very friendly

The heating didn't work. 62 degrees outside and all in the room is air conditioner in the settings, so only cold air in the room. Also, the water was running on the floor from the bathroom all the way to the carpet. The tile floor is freezing.

Breakfast, happy hour

Old, needs updating. The first room we were placed in was musty and humid to the point of sheets being wet. They moved us rooms for our next nights; that room was much better, however still outdated and not thoroughly cleaned.

Cleanliness, elevator, location, quiet, spacious, when I asked for service, they were immediate to help.

Very poor quality of hide a way bed. Uncomfortable.

25$ a day for parking . And as advertised as a 12 person hot tub . Was no hot tub

they gave me a room upgrade, offered free parking, and doubled our snack bag upon arrival

Breakfast with omelette station, drinks at happy hour

Really wanted a room with a bath tub, told they were sold out. The shower water temperature was difficult to regulate. Had some issues with logging on/off internet.

Our heater wasn't working in the room, they did fix it though.

Breakfast was good

The bed were very uncomfortable which included the pullout bed. Still continuing the drink tickets while other Embassy Suites have discontinued. Your rate are higher than other Embassy's.

Location

The room was FREEZING even with the thermostat set to 80. There is a sharp exposed metal piece right before you get to the bathroom as you walk in.
