Pros +
- Very clean and professional
- The property was in a convenient location. The parking garage was very close, which was nice.
- My wife and I are not ones to ever fill out a survey, but our experience at the Westin most definitely warrants one. We called in early to see if we could check in early and spoke on the phone with Frances who was delightful and let us know that she was looking forward to seeing us when we arrived. We made our way to the front desk and there she was with a big smile and a personality larger than life. She genuinely wanted to know why we were staying at the Westin in which we told her that we were these for nothing more than a date night. She proceeded to make several recommendation on things we could do around town but being from the area we had a good idea of what we wanted to do. WOW, we thought, we never met anyone at any hotel quite like her. What a way to make a first impression. Our room was perfect, room 515 overlooking Fountain Square and all the lights set up on it made it extra special. The room was clean and well kept. Usually you can find something wrong with the room but this room and the bathroom looked perfect. The next morning, everyone was so kind getting to the breakfast area from the chefs making our omelets to the lady making our coffees. The gentleman who cleared the table was incredibly professional and looked like he walked out of the GQ magazine with his finely pressed vest and his well groomed beard. We made sure to stop by there front desk on our way out to say goodbye to Frances who wanted to know all about our night out on the town. When we grabbed our bags and headed to the garage, the entire staff was there to say good-bye to us. My wife gave them the greatest compliment by saying, “ I feel like we are leaving family”. Truly we recommend the Westin. What an experience and to just get away from the kids and focus on us as a couple, it was a great experience. Thank you, Thank you. Thank you.
Cons -
- The elevators were tricky to figure out. We did not get a heads up about them during check in, so until we figured out what we were supposed to do, it took a while to get to our room.
- It was perfect
- Advertised as parking included as an accommodation; however after booking the local hotel informed us we couldn’t park our van there because it was too tall. We had to find a new location and neither booking.com nor the hotel would confirm it was cancelled after a week of phone calls and emails. Both pointed the finger at each other saying the other had to be the one to cancel. No one was in charge.
