Room was nice cosyBreakfast was fine , although if breakfast was made kind of buffet breakfast would have been good option Location is nice with places to roam round and quiet atmosphere

The restuarant is v ery good and the local people seem to come there alot.

The bedroom was lovely, beautiful and comfortable. We liked the staff- all very friendly. We thought Bastian was particularly nice.

Location! Boutique hotel located in a fortress. Accessible to towns outside of Amsterdam.

Hotel was much busier than our previous stay.. Seemed largely occupied by business groups. Didn’t have a relaxed leisure vibe. Restaurant was busy most days and evenings so didn’t have our meals there like we did before. Menu didn’t look as interesting.Not all the staff members knew how to resolve issues and had to wait for someone with the knowledge to fulfill our requests. Unpleasant smell around the lobby hallway restrooms which we had to walk by to access our rooms.

Stayed in Roome 10 (suite) which was absolutely amazing, super high ceilings, fantastics views, great bath on the mezzanine, brilliant showers and the best bed we had during our 3 week trip through Europe.

Seems the gas fired fireplace has been disconnected which was a shame.

Fabulous location, stylish decor. Charming quirky room. Very friendly service. Good food.

It was a bit cold though we turned up heating. Fire alarm went off at 07.15! False alarm - not really a problem as these things happen except we were particularly tired!

I had to pay two times the tourist taxes, even if I showed I had payed already to booking.com. There was no wi-fi in the room. Not even a large mirror to check the outfit before getting out. The hotel room is overpriced, also considering there is no breakfast included.

The room was good but way over priced for what you get. I have stayed in much nicer places for less money.

No reception. I had to wait for one of the restaurant staff to come over. We couldn't get anyone to come over on checkout because the restaurant was so busy. We ended up walking out and then getting sent a bill to say that we didn't pay the tourist tax....because no one had asked us to. For an expensive hotel, the hotel part feels like an afterthought.

Room was freezing cold (16C). Also no good explanation on how the heating system works. I needed an extra blanket to be comfortable

Wonderful central location, beautiful building, welcoming and helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable, sofa in my room, lots of lovely little touches. Dad particularly appreciated the piano on the landing! The restaurant area was warm and cosy, with a real feel of it being somewhere locals went to have a coffee and catch up. Breakfast was amazing and definitely worth the price. We also had a delicious and copious dinner there and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Lighting in room was very dim near wardrobe so I couldn't see instructions on safe! And the heating controls were complex - we struggled to get Dad's room warm enough for him, but then he is 85 and it was December!

There was a lot of noise from a party on the ground floor that went rather late and kept us awake

The suite is perfect for a romantic week end and the restaurant really worth trying.We were a bit late with checkout and everyone was very kind and gracious about it.The details in the design of the room, the bathroom, the double wall-in shower, all very carefully planned and designed.

The bed was fabulous. My husband and I both slept the night. Staff were lovely and so helpful with our bikes. The restaurant was really nice.

Great location in the middle of the historic center of the city.The rooms are big. Super good service and very nice people.

Friendly staff combined with excellent location and facilities made this an amazingly pleasant stay.

Wonderful, modern rooms with an excellent restaurant in a very picturesque town

Shower, toilet and sink are all in separate space, so for example when one person is taking a shower, the other can still use the sink.

The toilet room is so small, feeling like you are closed in a tiny space when you’re in there. There is barely space between the toilet and the door that it’s even difficult to properly put your pants back on.

Location, coffee and tea in the room, kind staff, great smelling shampoo, douchegel, soap.

There was a very unusual douchetoilet in the bathroom with two posters with instructions next to it, but it did not work; it did open en close every time one was nearby and had blue and red lights blinking under it; the room was a bit shabby with soaked paper cover on the bathroom door and the sight of dirty aluminium wall covering just outside the window.
