Motel 6-Garland, TX - Garland - Northwest Hwy

Location was good easy to go and come. I liked our second room way better after having to switch rooms the next morning.

Our 1st room had a dead big roach. Door handle to the rr was not secure falling off. The wall to the right of the wall after waking up realized had some gunk on it. The toilet would flush but not all the contents would go down with the water (poop) wouldn't go down. Went to the office to see if they had a plunger to see if that would help. When asking the 1st time for the plunger my husband was told that their was maintenance on property this was maybe around 9pm ish. Husband went again after 1 or 2 hrs and was told that the maintenance a was not on property and they still did not have a plunger. They gave my husband a option to switch rooms right then n there but my husband refused the 1st time due to our kids had already been asleep and we didn't want to wake them. Then I really had to go and went to a family members room and tried to go to the rr in their room but all i did was put a piece of toilet paper in to see if it would go down and it didn't so I decided not to do to use it after so she wouldn't have poop sitting in the toilet like ours. So the husband drove me through out the night to go to a convience store to do my business. During our 1st night there also had been other people coming in and out of their rooms yelling slamming on doors throughout the whole night. In the middle of the night I woke up to a live roach on my pillow. The next morning around 7 or 8ish I go to the office to see if we could change rooms and he told me that I could come back within 2 or so hours and he might have another ready so I asked him if there was a rr in the lobby that my family could use should we had to he was willing to let me in but told him it wasn't just for me. He did instead of having me wait did a actually let me change rooms and the 2nd room was way way more better than the 1st room. The toilet worked as it should and rr was so much better. The amount i was charged was one price upon checking out the bill was 50$ more than my booking price.

Very quiet..excellent staff. The wifi is week and doesn't reach the back of the motel, but other than that, very relaxing and quiet.
