Hotel is nice & beautiful. Nice atmosphere & very clean. Most of the staff was friendly.

One of the front desk clerks was a bit rude during check out. you pay for parking each night & no free breakfast. I didn’t like that.

Great rooms, clean and well maintained. Having a guest laundry room was a welcome bonus after travelling for many weeks. And the cookies, OMG, the cookies!!!

The shuttle service back to the airport was excellent.However, the hotel could have been much clearer on where the shuttle picked customers at the airport. I found it very difficult to locate the pick-up point. Staff at the airport tried to be helpful but were also unsure as to where the shuttle bus picked-up passengers. In the end I had to get a taxi when there was really no need to.Please make this issue very clear by e-mail when the booking has been made.

good location for us. great shuttle to hotel & back to airport we went back to catch shuttle to Galveston cruise port we were there Dec 16th 2023. had great dinner in the hotel restaurant, fantastic service.

The room was great, but that is to be expected from the Doubletree hotels. The breakfast buffet and restaurants were great as well with many good options for all tastes. The staff that worked at the restaurant really brightened my day in a particularly bad situation, and I am thankful for them. They all seemed to have a smile on every morning and were very polite and welcoming. The pool and jacuzzi on the property looked very nice however it was very cold outside and there were a bunch of leaves in the jacuzzi so I didn't want to use either of those facilities. The grounds of the hotel were clean and maintained properly with no visible trash. The parking lot was moderately lit for the most part, and there were a few gates that were locked, but there was not ample cameras watching the parking area nor security guard coverage.

The security of the parking lot was non-existent. My truck was vandalized as it sat in the parking lot under a bright light. The thieves stole my catalytic converters from my truck during the night. When brought up to hotel staff they seemed very indifferent about the whole thing. (Like it was something that has happened before there) I then found out that they "conveniently" don't have CCTV coverage of their parking lot which absolutely blows my mind in this day and age to not have in a public place. Also they informed me that they had a security guard, but they got off work at midnight, which also seems weird to me. Why would you not have 24 hour security on your property?????? When asked why they don't have camera coverage on their parking lot they said that they are "working on it". It really made the rest of our vacation stressful and anxiety ridden. (I found out on night two of our 4 day vacation). We had to end up renting a vehicle to get around and drive 4 hours back home. I had to tow my truck to a local car dealership and it is still sitting there 4 days later. So we basically wasted one day of our vacation dealing with this. One last thing to add: I don't know why, but the cleaning solution they used for the carpets made it smell very musty. Maybe not a huge issue, but it was just a strong scent in the air and it made my girlfriends allergies act up a bit. All in all, don't go to Houston unless you have a catalytic converter shield and comprehensive coverage on your insurance.
