The Plaza Hotel Columbus at Capitol Square

This hotel is a dump . It had potential but someone needs to invest money in to it. The room was dirty the bathroom was dirty dead bugs on the carpets .

Location

The blood on the sheets. The bar being closed past 8pm on a Saturday. No hot water until staff was alerted. Water pressure was extremely low. Beds were uncomfortably small.

The food menu offered during our group meeting was vey tasteful.

The windows need a thorough cleaning, They were so dirty you couldn't enjoy a view of the city. There is no real setup to sit and use the internet service in the lob except for small plugs in one corner. Phone jacks in rooms need attention as well.

Keys kept not working early morning workers weren’t capable of fixing issue. So just got it fixed everyday on way back to room.

AC did not work, sink was clogged .… sigh and I was given this room by the receptionist as an upgraded room that they gave for no reason.…. Smh

Parking was confusing

The view of the Statehouse was great. The room was very quiet as well. The front desk agent was very helpful.

The rooms need refreshed. The wallpaper was peeling, and the "grout" in the shower was caulk, applied incredibly sloppily. It didn't really diminish the stay in any way, but if you're looking for perfection, this isn't the hotel for you.

Cost

AC didn't work. No cold water in bathroom. No reasonable parking.

No ac my room was 85 degrees did not try to accommodate and would not give refund after they said that they would.

Room furniture had huge chips and dents. Electrical outlets didn?t work in bathroom. Had to straighten my hair by my bed. Table in dining area was sticky dirty and the floor was disgusting.

Having to pay for parking, the surprise $75 for incidentals, no menu for the restaurant, had to reserve a table to eat, parking, parking, valet driver did not know how to parallel park...held up the line 10 minutes while we all watched.

Property is dated - with 403 rooms it is very expensive to update. That said, there was a newer clock radio and some other device with computer hook ups. Neither worked.

The room was in very poor condition . Outlets shorted out bed lamp. All outlets were installed wrong and in terrible conditiondiction. Furniture was broken in places. Walls patched but not sanded or painted. Only 1 comfortable chair. .
