Doubletree By Hilton Alice Springs

It was Hilton standard. Quiet location. Staff were excellent in every area.

From the moment we arrived staff made us feel welcomed and carefully explained all the relevant details to us. Breakfast buffet was very nice each morning as was the friendly efficient service from the cleaning staff.

The bath/shower combination could become quite slippery and one had to be careful not to slip.

Impressive entry/check-in, nice outdoor pool and garden area, staff was very accommodating, restaurant was excellent.

Rooms were very rundown and dirty. Even after asking to switch rooms, it was more of the same. Looks like things rarely get cleaned. Not even close to Hilton standards. Actually amazing how subpar the rooms were, totally unexpected.

the deck bar was unavailable for light snacks for dinner, and the salt bush restaurant choices were overpriced and underwhelming I ordered sweet potato wedges to take away and got skinny sweet potato fries a very small serve with some sour cream.

Large rooms. quiet and comfortable. Short taxi ride into town. Large format TV (streaming) and useful power points with USB connections.

The property (like others in the same strip) is showing its age. Shower over a bath is dated and awkward if you have any mobility issues. Grounds are poorly maintained. Card readers repeatedly failed requiring multiple visits to reception - bearing in mind its a good walk to and from the rooms. Wayfinding is poor - very confusing to find the correct path to rooms in the first instance. Saltbush restaurant is expensive and food was average at best.

Staff were very attentive and kind. Room was very nice. Comfy bed!

Some fixtures are a bit old and need an update. The air-conditioning is loud and not super effective likely due to its age.

The staff was helpful, the restaurant(s) were wonderful and the location was superb. I really enjoyed how close it was to everything in town, and how easy it was to get to from the airport. The Aboriginal Fabrics store in the lobby was also a nice surprise, especially for my partner who likes quilting.

The cookies they gave upon check in, while delicious, had nuts in them, so common an allergy seems like an oversight to me. Even though I'm not allergic, it seems like something that should be taken into consideration.

Early check-in was requested at booking & the hotel was able to check us in several hours early. That was very appreciated! The housekeeping staff was responsive each time I needed to call for services that should have been done as routine. The workout room was 24 hour guest access for guests. The lobby bar had a pretty good tapas/light meal menu and a super responsive young man at the counter for ordering & drinks.ALL tour providers picked up at this hotel!

The facility was not what I expect with the Hilton brand. Our room was rather worn and in need of refurbishing. Although housekeeping was provided daily, details like refreshing the coffee, shampoo & bath gel were often missed. The AC provided little guest control and the room was often too warm overnight.

Externals are looking tired - paving going, externals not good

Food was not hot in the restaurant. Had dinnner (ribs) they were not hot at all and mentioned this twice to staff no offer to correct. Similarly with "hot" breakfast. Heat lamps were clearly not working properly as food that should have been hot was cold.

The room was comfortable and the beds were lovely. I enjoyed that some of Alice Springs' best restaurants are right in the hotel. The staff were lovely and I really enjoyed the Aboriginal Fabric Store and their knowledge and graciousness.

Well, this was the most expensive accommodation in our one month trip up North and it was the most underwhelming of all. I can honestly say that we did not really like anything about our stay here. What we liked the most about it was leaving.

Everything. Parking was miles away from the rooms and not enough parking was supplied for all guests. Access to rooms from the car park was not good. We had to wait a long time to check in even though it was not busy. There was one person at the reception who was not really interested in good customer service. The room was older, run down and outdated with an uncomfortable bed and furnishings. The coffee/tea making facilities were situated very high so you had to reach up to make coffee- lucky we are both nearly 180cm tall. The bathroom also could do with an update and had the shower over the bath that you had to step up into - not ideal for seniors. Also it had pump soaps in the shower that were situated very high, just in reach for me as a tall person, and they were nearly empty - you had to struggle to get anything out of them. The icing on the cake was the room service, that rates amongst the worst we have ever experienced. They brought half of the order only so I had to ring them and by the time they brought the other half I asked for the rest to be re-heated as it had gone cold. The quality of the food was very second rate and unsatisfactory for the prices they are charging: A garden salad that was literally just mixed leaves thrown into a bowl with mayo squirted on top, 'battered fish fillets' that looked identical to the long thin variety I buy in packets from the supermarket, cold dry chips, a curry that tasted just OK, but with dried out rice, and overall presentation lacking. Our stay overall was not what we expected from the 'Hilton' name. We booked this motel because we thought it would be a nice luxury stay, but it was far from it.

Staff at reception and restaurant were very friendly and super helpful, can highly recommend them. Beds were very comfortable and location very good.

Everything was great. Security was great for hotel and car parking. Overall facility clean. Room was spacious and very comfortable. All staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Laundry facility onsite. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Customer Service outstanding both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend.
