Ocean Maya Royale Adults Only - All Inclusive

Very clean, very friendly staff and quiet beautiful natural surroundings

Beach front was small. Short-staffed, workers were friendly but overwhelmed. Bartenders at pool were not friendly. There was only one person at the coffee shop preparing drinks and serving at the counter, people lined up and waited.

The size was perfect, accomodations were updated due to an injury and the Experience Staff.

There is no screen on the sliding doors, the first room we went into was just cleaned and the smell of their cleaner was very strong. Luckily we had changed rooms to a bottom floor level. The Pool where the action was could use some update.

Spa should improve the hot tub area. Music at fun pool was way too loud.

Decent to excellent food at all the restaurants. Amenities met expectations all around

Information was unclear and communication was sometimes difficult.

I've stayed at more expensive places in the past, so was very pleasantly surprised that everything at Ocean Maya was wonderful! The food was some of the best all-inclusive I've had before. Staff was very friendly (shout out to Camilo!) Would come back!

Location and layout of resort. Staff was excellent.

The privilege upgrade we purchased did not really live up to description/expectations. Our butler was not proactive with assisting with dinner reservations and did not seem to follow through when we did request a special dinner.

Absolutely nothing, other than a few of the staff that were doing the best they could with what they were provided.

Bait and switch, room filthy & worn-out, food & drinks disgusting, staff unprofessional. Everywhere but lobby stinks. Unable to enjoy the beach, room, or amenities. I got visibly physically ill from the sargassum, checked out after one night w/o refund.

The food was incredible and the staff was amazing! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure your stay was wonderful, but I have to give extra props to Kenddell who had us laughing and having a blast the entire time. We will definitely be back!

The staff were nice and friendly.

The location was a good distance from everything but they offered a lot of activities on site to enjoy. The seaweed was a major disappointment as well. I wouldn¿t have gotten ocean view if I knew it was still a seaweed issue and it was as bad as it was.

Where do I begin. We waited additional time for check in to our room and upon entering it still wasn't cleaned to standards. The shower leaks water all over the floor, making hazardous slipping conditions. The food was bland and upset my stomach.

I liked the smaller adults only feel of the resort.

The rooms smelt very musty, hot water didn¿t work (even after asking for help), toiles wreaked of sewage, not enough lounge chairs around the pool beach. Food was fair but didn¿t change too much in 8 day stay. Feels almost as this resort is struggling.

The entertainment staff was great and so was the dining experience at the Japanese hibachi.

I understand that seaweed control can be difficult but the stench was bad.

The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. They created a space that was fun and entertaining. The activities at the pool party and in the evening at the lobby were filled with excitement and enthusiasm. The staff did a great job taking care of issues.

My room key would get disable multiple times a day so I would have to keep returning to the lobby to get new keys. Because the resort is spacious, it was a huge inconvenience to walk back and forth. The food was mediocre with limited options.

We loved the quaint feeling of this hotel. Everything was very well kept and clean. The staff was very attentive. The food was quite good. No complaints and we would certainly return.

They don't have a fabulous beach right out front because they have a boardwalk across much of their beach front. But, not really a big deal.

customer service at checkin was terrible, the first room had water leak, second room had no hot water, then final room we transferred to smelled moldy, checkin experience was the worst, we checked out the following day

The staff super friendly, beach nice and clean, the resort was beautiful. Food was very good.

Only one restaurant was open per night. Not sure if this was because of COVID but that was the only downside.

did not get the privilege junior suite reserved in Oct of 2019. subbed plain 2 bed room. Not like photo.told us not available. The tour originally offered a Tequila & chocolate factory. instead a retail tequila & Jewelry store. Mislead.not happy.

The atmosphere is amazing, the food is excellent, and the staff made you feel right at home! H10 properties and the Ocean resorts are the best we have been too by far!

Get bug spray, mosquitoes are bad in September. But they were all outside and not in our room. Can not escape wildlife! That is the only con and it is not really a con, or the hotels fault! We will be back for sure!
