Location is good.
A simple request when I checked in: please may I have the quietest room you have. Get upstairs and my room is diagonally opposite the elevator… I went straight back to checkin and was immediately given a room further down the hall. But why did I have to go through that?And the lighting in the room. Wow. Not a single light in the ceiling. The only light in the room comes from globe lights next to the bed. I actually had to decline a video call because the rooms are so dark it looked like we’d had a power out. Ridiculous.

After a horrible night in the previous hotel (Somebody tried to break into our room), We booked a room and go to the hotel around 6 am. When we check in we told the story what happened with us in the night and at the reception he was very very kind and helpful. We told him we know that it is too early to get a room and will go to New York today so if he could keep our luggages we are happy. But he was able to give us a room right away on the 8th floor. The hotel is very nice, clean and comfy! The whole staff was very kind and helpful!

This hotel is outstanding! The staff make me feel like the only person in the hotel. The valet team was incredible I felt so welcomed.

The staff was amazing and upgraded my room because I stay there whenever I come to DC. I love the location. So close to everything- airport, train, metro and all the big DC sights. The resturaunt is absolutly delicious. Loved the bar happy hour.Down the block are many cafes and shops.The Darcy gives cocktails to guests in lobby at 5 pm. They also gave us bycycles which was a very fun way to explore DC. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Just a great hotel fun vibe at the Darcy.Even allows dogs!

great location and nice looking hotel. showers are the worst, you get soaked in ice cold water trying to just turn it on. water spraying everywhere
awful shower, terrible front desk service. broken phone in the room and front desk lady yelling that ‘my phone’ is broken, it’s the phone in your hotel room - maybe send someone to replace it vs telling me to come downstairs

Price is not transparent at all. There was a lot of additional charge besides price paid on booking.com. I paid extra $100 for my one night stay…

Room was great and extremely comfortable. Long walk from Metro Station at DuPont Circle.
The hotel overcharged me from the posted rate on Booking.com. They were not responsive, and it took over a month to get my money back.
