Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Columbus/University Area

The staff was amazing. Check-in gave us a lovely, clean room on the top floor with the river view. Beds comfy and clean. Our daughter got sick in the middle of the night and the man on duty came straight up with fresh linens for us. Shower had amazing pressure and heat, even on the top floor. Breakfast was fully stocked and hot. Wonderfully located by the college without being too busy to get in and out. Plenty of food options nearby for dinners. Lots of parking. Would 100% stay again.

Only one of two elevators were working, so wait time and capacity fullness in the morning was truly the only issue.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff kept everything refilled. Friendly. Room & linens were all clean.

Location was great. For events at the Covelli Center, the drive was less than 1 mile. Plenty of restaurants in the area. COmfortable bed. Very clean room.

Same thing I tell all hotels. I did not like the breakfast choices. I am lactose intolerant, and there was no plant-based milk so I could have some cereal. Come on Hampton Inn, this is 2024, plant based milk is inexpensive and widely available, there's no excuse not to have some.

The location was excellent for me. The service of the staff was exceptional. The breakfast was adequate and acceptable.

The electronic key did not work, but the staff thought to give me a card key because they said they had problems with the electronic key. I would follow up to find out why that doesn't work at this hotel.

Great location, clean, comfortable, and a better hot breakfast than most hotels. The tv had a nice, sharp picture and pool was also a nice temperature and not freezing cold.

There was no microwave to reheat food, and I felt it was overpriced for a Monday night.

You could hear every noise throughout the hotel at night. We were not even near the elevators but we heard them loud and clear. Doors opening and closing in the hallway. The door was closed but the light from the hallway was coming in through the gaps so I'm not sure if that's why the noise was so bad but it kept us up all night. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and thin with rust stains on the mattress. We travel alot and it's not very often I leave a review like this. It may be the lack of sleep but I had to put it out there.

Staff was good. Room was clean. Shower pressure was good (often in hotels it is not good).

Our room was next to elevators and you could hear them when trying to sleep. After multiple attempts - including redoing my room card - I was not able to get into the workout room without someone from the inside opening the door. Also 1 of the treadmills did not work. Plenty of free water was provided, but in plastic bottles. I would prefer refilling my own water bottle (less plastic).
