The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge

Location

Wood structure with hard surface floors. You can hear every footsteps from the room above you. There is a gap between the floor and the bottom of the door so you get light and every sound from the hallway. I was expecting much more for the price.

The location and room upgrades.

Prefer to have daily housekeeping.Had late checkout approved yet housekeeping came to our room 3 times to see if we have checked out.Even confirmed late checkout when the front desk called two times to see if we had left yet. S'mores removed by 9:30pm.

Only had one room key, said they were short on keys

I got sick the morning I was supposed to leave, so when I called to cancel, I was reminded that according to their policy, I had to pay for the first night of my stay, which was the only night of my stay, almost $--- for nothing.

Updated design and decor, clean and helpful front desk staff. Great quality for price.

Front desk staff said my room number out loud while handing me my key. Wasn¿t an issue since no one was in the lobby, but this should not be information that is said out loud ever. As a woman traveling alone, this is a huge security issue for me.

Rooms: Shower appeared to have mold in the shower and bed sheets appeared to not have been changed.

Nothing.....Not one thing was up to my standards

Overpriced, nothing worked in the room except the lamps and the refrigerator. Coffee maker did not work (wiring), TV did not work (wiring), shower handle broken so no hot water (could not fix until we left). Bathrroom sink had hair in it when we arrived.

Love the location right on Lake Chatuque. Hotel is very nice and enjoy the evening s'mores.

Would like to return to daily room service/housekeeping.

Centrally located and love being right on Lake Chatuque!

Disappointed that housekeeping only makes up the room if requested. Wish that The Oaks restaurant was open more hours/days.

Welcome back,  (Front Desk)! Great customer service! Lodge was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Live music on New Years Eve.

Would like to have big screen TV in either the lower level lobby or the second floor sitting area.

The location is perfect, 20 miles from Helen, 40 miles from Cherokee, NC, only 60 miles from Gatlinburg, TN and 45 miles from South Carolina, we drove and explored.

We loved our stay so much!!! We love the location and the view!!!! We will definitely be returning. Our room was clean and the beds were so comfortable!!! Everything was amazing and perfect!!!

We wish there was complementary breakfast and maybe chairs or benches out on the dock to sit on.

The beautiful area and everything seems to be very welcoming. We loved the nightly fire pit for roasting s¿mores.

Everything closed very early. And we were there on a Saturday

The location of this hotel is perfect - sits on Lake Chatuge. The facility has been remodeled and updated and is very nice. We enjoyed the pm fire pit, as well.

Due to the pandemic, we were unable to have our room made up. Would like to have The Oaks and Marina Station open more days/later hours for meals.

Location, decor, the amount of care for the building & grounds- all made this resort more than a hotel. It felt like staying with friends who had excellently fluffy guest rooms. Perfect little gem.

The VIEW, although our room view was of the driveway.

We arrived early & our room was ready. They charged us SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS to let us check in early. Also, the renovations were very shoddily done. Woodwork not sanded, paint splashed on floor, Bathroom mirror cracked.

Beautiful location, right over the lake and nestled between the mountains. Easy to get to nearby amenities and spas

Location. Cleanliness. Beautiful.

No one at the front desk upon arrive. Exit door to lobby is locked until 8am. Had to walk around the building with our luggage to leave at 7:30.
