One room didn’t have A/C but we got a room change

We did not like the discs. The reason: the DJ discriminated is. We asked for specific music and the DJ responded: "I put your request if you guys dance."

The reservation in restaurants always was full. And we saw empty tables. It’s was difficult to make reservations

The Beach was well kept although very crowded

We have been given an incorrect room when we arrived,which we havent booked. We were promised the correct room the next day in the morning. When we arrived in the morning, we were put off that we should Check out the room and come back at 3 pm. which was not aceptable to not have any room at all. They said they make an exception and leave us the room until the other is ready(?!).When we came back at 3pm we were told that the room needed to be checked still and we should come back 20min later, the Staff member Yoeley did then finish his shift and we were left we a new person who also told us the same to wait another 20min, in total we waited more than an hour, when we demanded the third person to give us the room as more time has passed in which we could not enjoy our stay there still. We received finally a room And found in the room a big cockroach in the closet. After finding it I immediately called reception that they please have it removed. They told me that somebody will come and take care of it in 10minutes.I have waited again for an hour !!!! And nobody came!How are we supposed to enjoy this stay if our concerns are not taken seriously? We have paid a lot of money and were very patient and give them their time they told us they needed. But the way they treated us all the way was a very disappointing experience.As my husband and I could not stay any longer in a room infested with cockroach, I complained, let booking know and let the hotel know that I cannot stay here. And their first response (which was seemingly from the supervisor the day of 30th November at around 5-5:30pm) was “we kindly help you to check out”.And I was baffled. “so this is the way you treat your clients? No help nor assistance, no offering of a solution or approach to make it more convenient for us?”After that he tried to say that if we would have waited a bit more longer he probably could have offered another room.

The beach and pool were great even when the RAIN was steady for the last day and the entertainments grouts made a great show

The beach was great for long strolls or just swimming and hanging out. The pool was also nice. Tons of activities available. There’s so much to choose from it’s a little overwhelming at the beginning, but you find what suits you and your good to go. The buffet is top quality with a good range of options. We liked the Brazilian restaurant as well.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like

I liked how everything was very clean and organized all of the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and well equipped. Would definitely recommend and come back next year.

The first room they assign us had a leaking in the bathroom it was really bad, the room had a bad smell I request them to give me another room and the Front desk lady told me that will take longer and they will send a technician. We wait 45 minutes for the technician and after 2 hours they decide to change our room. On the new room the air conditioner never work, the bathroom was in poor condition. Definitely this hotel need a better maintenance. After all this situations I decided to cancel my spa reservation and leave early. They should have better entertainment and more staff during peek hours.

The beach was very nice, plenty of chairs on the beach. The food was very accessible at all hours. The renovated areas were very nice. Staff very nice and attentive.

Understaffed in the buffet, needed to ask for utensils, cups, water refill etc.

This is our 3rd time in this resort, we really love it because it is a very quiet place for rest.

They have a policy that you can't leave your towel in a beach chair. I left mine to go for a walk and when I came back, they were removing it and my personal belongings. This really pissed me off because it's insane that I can't leave my stuff to walk on the beach. I submitted a complaint, after this my family and I are thinking about not coming back.

The shared facilities were really made good, still far from 5 stars. I'd say this is a more like 4 stars resort, with rooms on 3 stars. Staff was really nice and they were constantly working on entertainment, can tell that the families and old people had a blast.The food, oh that was quite well must say - lots of fish, fruits, wonderful sweets and the only issue we had was that they tend to overcook everything in terms of meat (and omelettes:). So as long as it is sauted or cooked, you're good.The drinks were really good and also the guys working at the towels, bars and restaurants were super nice.

The noise, it was awful! The doors are not well isolated, and they seem to have a pretty old system where you really have to slam them in order to close them. Once, we even had the accident due to the process.There is a lot of old people that get up quite early, then you have the families which have small kids that can be super loud. Other than that, bathroom would really use a renovation - it was quite outdated and worn off.One day, we had a nasty rain the full day and when we asked at the reception for the umbrella, a girl was saying we should order it to the room (which was not possible as were already waiting for the taxi) and then she took the slowest walk to get it, as if I was there for her and not vice versa.

Stunning beach with quite comfortable deckchairs as well as the swimming pool and bars. Restaurant staff extremely friendly and kind. Cleanliness of the hotel in general is very good.

We stayed in this hotel from December 27th to January 5th. At first everything seemed perfect but then it turned out to be a nightmare. We booked 7 months in advance and paid for a Superior Junior Suite for 3200 euros one month in advance! The room was located in villa 27, second floor, at the end of the corridor, room 27220. On booking it was specified GARDEN VIEW but we found ourselves with a view of a road where cars, scooters and trucks pass 24 hours a day. Impossible to rest in the morning, afternoon, evening and night. The room doesn't have double glazing so it was like sleeping on the street for 8 days. We reported it to the hotel and they promised to change rooms. The room they gave us was number 27218, two rooms before ours, practically identical and with the same view and the same noise. THEY KIDDED US. Another inconvenience, at check-in you are given a card to enter the house (which is demagnetized every two days) and a card for the pool towel. One day it was raining, we were at the pool, we left the pool towels on the deck and went back to the room. We fell asleep and when we returned the towels had been taken by the pool staff. We went to ask for them back and the gentleman at the guest service desk told us that we had to pay a fee of 150 dollars because we didn't have any towels or cards to collect them. ABSURD AND RIDICULOUS, RIDICULOUS!!!Food is not the best, same things repeated every two days, recycled shellfish from New Year's Eve until January 4th. A la carte restaurants are nothing more than smaller restaurants where you eat the same things as the buffet. The drinks at the all-inclusive are made with poor quality alcohol. At the end of our holiday I can say that I will never return to any hotel in the Bahia Principe chain, I am really very disappointed with them and with Booking which did not assist us in any way.
