Everyone that worked there was lovely and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great especially if you are going to a game. Additionally it was very quiet for a Sat in the Gaslamp.

I find $65 per night for parking egregious for someone staying at the hotel. Yes you get in and out privileges, but it’s seriously outer limits. Any hotel charging more than $40 is taking advantage of their customers. Also, no refrigerator in the room is annoying.

I liked the location best but that’s

I booked through trivago originally and the hotel canceled my booking, claiming they were overbooked when I got there they were not, and I was able to secure the same booking, but for a lot more money. I was also not told about the extra $65 a day for valet parking Until I received the extra $400 on my credit card. I spoke with three different managers, including the general manager, who took no accountability even blaming trivago for everything when I clearly had an email from trivago saying the front desk at Marriott told them they could not fulfill the booking because of over booking. Like I said that was not the case. It took 20 minutes for my key card to work to get in the door. The room smelled musty. The bathroom sink was clogged. The furniture is outdated and worn and for the price they couldn’t even include a mini fridge or microwave. The original email also mentioned breakfast was included, but that was also not the case. Will never book with Marriott again.

Comfortable king-sized bed, Room Size for one person, my room had an amazing view, security, staff on 24/7, able to make a RSVP same night arriving before 1am, easy to find, close to Petco Park, Gaslamp District, Altitude Sky Bar on the 22nd floor, able to hold luggage for you (valet), 24/7 gym, pillow spray to help get a good night's sleep, etc.

I heard some gargling noises from the pipes - wasn't sure if it was the toilet or the sink - I think it was the sink when others may have used theirs in the building? I couldn't tell how to change the temp in the room easily - the buttons didn't really go up or down when pushed, but maybe it was b/c I didn't turn the air on completely until I woke up later in the morning to allow some cool air in since I wanted to keep the temp warmer at night.

It was a little overpriced. I expect a little upcharge for when a special event is in town but this was a little much. Nonetheless, the hotel was great, the staff extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Great hotel.

There were no negatives, except the restaurant and bar closed early for a Saturday night - especially with a huge concert right next door at the same night. You would think they would have stayed open past the end ng of the concert. Several people went up to the restaurant door only to be turned away.

Room was clean. No bedbugs.

For $500 a night, how about you leave a couple of water bottles in the room? And breakfast might have been nice also.

It’s good location, staff are very nice. Good price for this super popular town.

The rooms are next to each other, and wall is very thin. The evening I was bothered by the other guests using toilet , it’s just crossed room, so the sounds are very loud, and I was woke up by neighbor room very early in the morning even with earplug, so didn’t sleep well. The picture on the website is kind of misleading, I thought I booked with western style room, but instead it’s tatami on the ground. I have no problem with that but just not very clear when I book.
