Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort

The location was good

Parking lot was being worked on, so limited parking. My key card wouldn't work on the back parking gate where I was forced to park. I had to go back and forth to the front desk a total of 5 times and wasted 15 minutes after I checked in doing so. The back parking lot was dark and a bit sketchy, not well lit. There were no obvious doors to access the hotel buildings from the back parking lot. I had to call the front desk for instructions and was hung up on! The room itself was very worn down, dated, not very clean and had a funny smell. The plumbing under the sink had a leak and someone just wrapped the pipe in hand towelsI checked in just before midnight and there were no other hotels (reasonably priced) available or I would've just left this dump. I travel for work and stay in all types of hotels at different price points, this place was the worst I've stayed in in a few years. I was awakened at 7:15am by trucks backing up and being unloaded (loudly). It wouldn't have bothered me IF I were told in advance there was construction, I would've been prepared and could've decided to book elsewhere. The staff didn't seem to care I was having issues accessing the back parking lot or having trouble finding access to the building to get to my room. The unbothered attitudes of the staff and the obvious wear and uncleanliness of the hotel were enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I will normally hang out at a hotel and explore the amenities, I couldn't get out of this place fast enough the next morning.

Great location and easy to find! Staff are as very nice and friendly welcoming! Loved having a Starbucks in the parking lot and a lot of restaurants you can walk to nearby!

I wish there was a microwave in the rooms…leftovers really can’t get eaten if we can’t warm up certain foods.

The concierge was so sweet but didn't have a clue. We asked for a seafood restaurant location and she had no idea. I asked if Zest was open, and she didn't know that was the hotel restaurant. We had stood for over 10 minutes waiting to be seated when we could clearly see workers within the restaurant. It would be nice if they acknowledged us standing there. Or maybe put a note up saying closed until ??? More frustrating was the outside bar/restaurant was closed due to cooler weather. But when there are clearly a lot of people outside sitting by the pool and in it, why would they say the weather is too cold? I think charging for parking when it isn't Valet and there isn't an alternative, you shouldn't be charged for self parking that is clearly out front and not covered. My other issue was breakfast. We stood for a long time being passed by wait staff that would keep saying someone will be right with you. We were finally seated and when we got up to get food, our table was taken upon our return. We searched for a table ourselves, found our own silverware and drank our juice from a coffee cup because 3 separate people asked for more juice glasses. Never happened in the time we were there. I don't mind tipping when I receive good service, but when we seat ourselves (twice), find our own silverware and glasses, that should not garner an 18% tip.

I loved the location everything was close by check- in was smooth pool was great and loved the fact that towels were right there to use and as many as you needed. The staff very friendly and helpful . Loved the fact our was secured and easy to leave and enter property. We had the best time and will be coming back to stay again

Elevator was a little slow but the stairs were close by and easy to access so it made up for it

Everything was great! Great pools for kids with waterslide and kids area, game room and activities! The staff was very nice and the room was big and cozy. Definitely great value for price, much better than any other hotel in the same price range and comparable with other resorts charging 3 times more. Fare resort fees and parking fees, no hidden fees.
