The Westin St. Francis San Francisco On Union Square

The room was so comfortable, bed was perfect, pillows fluffy, bathroom spacious and clean. The hotel smells amazing and clean. The staff at the bell desk was so helpful and friendly. 5star experience

Valet Parking is $100 for overnight parking

Front desk rocked this stay.

Drink price was high and service medium, but you were in a very nice lounge.

Room and Service from Employees which was excellent.

Under rennovations. Beautiful entrance and Lobby on Union Square Closed. Restaurant and Pub Bar closed. Makeshift Bar and Lobby with tacky fake flowers.

King Bay view room had amazing corner view and faced the Salesforce tower in the distance.

The wine tasting room. Chateau Montelena.....nothing else open due to remodel and employee strike

Chopped up once grand hotel. Oak room bar is now a breakfast area Main entrance no longer accessible under construction put a bar in the middle of the room Employee strike Marriott hotel people banging Oil Drums all day until evening outside

WILL NEVER STAY IN ANY HOTEL AFFILIATED WITH MARRIOT OR WHO PAY SLAVE WAGES

For the first time in my life, I had to cross a Picket Line. The Hotel workers were striking for a Livable wage which I totally agree with. We couldn't change hotels without losing the $already paid and felt TOTALLY ASHAMED entering/leaving hotel

It was a gracious and welcoming hotel. Despite the union protest right outside the main entrance you would never know anything other than high level personable service from the desk clerk to the coffee shop and bar tender

We were in town for a week and every day was restful sleeping, warm showers, hot coffee and a delightful pastry to help us meet the day

Staff

Labor strike, no hot food options at the Cafe, closure of various entrances to the hotel so have to walk all the way around to enter from the other side, front desk cannot give cash change, was directed to go to the cafe line which was very long

Room was decent

The customer service was abysmal. There is a Strike going on outside the hotel so people are banging a drum every hour of the night and morning. My room wasn't clean and had food and drinks left in the refrigerator. Valet took over an hour.

Emily, the manager, was very helpful and accomodating

The hotel was experiencing a strike and the protestors outside were extremely loud. I suspect that is why we got such a good rate and excellent service with upgrades.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view was amazing!

They charged 8.46 for a 7-up

The heritage of the hotel is amazing. Beautiful and beautiful location. Hotel employee at the front desk took such good care of us. All employees of the hotel went above and beyond to make us comfortable. There is a modern wing and a heritage wing.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was nice, and the amenities and location was great.

There was one staff in the kitchen who was not nice.

the handicapped roll in shower and the way the staff treated a guy in a wheelchair

the automatic curtains did not work in either room

Construction was inconvenient.

Location is not bad, although weirdos, bums and addicts abound.

Resort, voucher, and other expenses are very complicated. Front desk premised to credit $64 complimentary drinks, but failed to do so. Breakfast on 1/1 was charged to the wrong room. Only one $25 credit was applied to room 1589. Parking outrageously $$$

The view was amazing.

The lanes to turn into for parking aren't clear. Had to be escorted out and brought back into the correct lane for drop off.

Hotel was very clean and location was great.

The shower. Do not like the rainfall shower head (just my personal opinion).

For me the best part of this all out amazing hotel is that it's in a central part on Powell Street for people to travel to and from. There are cabs available almost every minute on stand by at the main entrance. I will definitely come back in the future.

I did not have any dislike about The Westin St Francis I love this hotel sooo much. For me this amazing hotel is perfect to stay at for the holidays especially for Halloween. I stayed here for 3 amazing nights. I will be back here next halloween season.
