The best aspects of this hotel were no doubt the three swimming pools with a rooftop pool and sunbathing area for adults only. The vast outdoor leisure area is well equipped with all areas used wisely for beds, towels, snacks and drinks facilities. The breakfast in this hotel is without doubt second to none in our experience, exceeding five star expectations. The staff managed the huge seating operation very well and always with a smile. The size of our room, was great as was the corner position which gave us magnificent views of the sea and coastline. Slippers and robes as well as an abundance of toiletries were also a welcome touch. All of our interactions with staff were positive and friendly, especially in the lounge bar area. The staff here were attentive with good rapport for all customers.

The five star rating gave us certain expectations which we felt were missing. The small touches were thoughtful however were quite basic. Drinking water was not renewed in our room automatically. The biggest disappointment compared to our previous visits to this hotel was the change to the entertainment on offer in the lounge bar area. At this time of year the hotel had a large proportion of families which understandably changes the whole ambiance and possibly the reason for the type of entertainment available. Even in the Canaries, there can be a cool breeze in the month of December. We questioned why all of the doors were open and advised that this was hotel policy. It was uncomfortable for us. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time. We were disappointed in the overall feel of this hotel which used to exude style and luxury with quality entertainers in a bar which used to make you want to stay all night, it fell short this time unfortunately.

Lovely hotel. Great location.In winter it was pretty easy to get a lounger for the pool, but in summer, we know from experience that you have to be there at 8am to get a place.Luckily the pool attendants do remove the inconsiderate towel lounger hoggersGood location for shops, beach, market, and free shuttle to the Siam Mall.Rooms had good mirror placements and the mirror and shelf in the hallway of room were convenient for wife for make up.

Rooms are very tired. Had a musty smell to them. For a 5 star hotel these rooms felt like the 1990s. No USB or convenient power sockets, dark old oak cabinetry and generally a little shabby given its rating.Buffet was OK but samey after a few days.The evening entertainment area was oddly placed due to the construction pillars, giving a very poor view of the shows every night. Unless you were in place an hour or more before the show it was pointless.Understandable but expensive for Christmas period.

Hard bed, poor Wi-Fi and only 3 English channels

Food is outstanding. Staff are extremely friendly.Beds are very comfortable and TV has UK channels. Housekeeping is also outstanding .

Air conditioning is very poor but hopefully will improve when refurbished.Perhaps a heated pool would be a bonus especially for babies and small children?

We’ve been here many times before and always have a fantastic stay but not this time 10 days/nights of hell

The hotel pool was loud music blaring lost the tranquil feel it had, children’s activities used to be fab bingo JENGA parts water polo the list went on but not now just screaming staff with screaming kids never seen so many kids in the hotel before NEVER COMING AGSIN

Friendly hotel

The hotel is getting quite dated, have been a few times. Tiles near main reception need replacing as they are well worn. The night entertainment is poor.

The restaurant was superb Breakfast Lunch and dinner were all exceptional. The restaurant was extremely large and busy at breakfast times. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Pool areas were all good and never had an issue getting sunbeds despite the hotel being full. The sunbeds were extremely comfortable.

I have only one minor criticism. Not all the drinks were available on the all inclusive. I don't expect to get the high end spirits such as premium cognacs and whiskeys but I would expect normal drinks such as Aperol or Strongbow to be included. I have stayed at 4* establishments where these have been included. Other than that no complaints whatsoever.

The staff are always very friendly. The rooms are always cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. The food hall has plenty of options and there is plenty to do within the hotel for both adults and children.

On our second to last night I suffered food poisoning from something I ate in the hotel and was up all night prior to us flying home. We had visited this hotel last year and this was the first time this had happened so hopefully just a one off.

Location was good, not too busy of an area.Very clean but dated.Main restaurant was very clean with a good choice of food.

Dated rooms with poor aircon but very liveable. Mini golf needs to be replaced for new. Poolside service would be nice.

Brilliant pools in a beautiful setting, delicious breakfast with everything you can imagine for choice. Just s short walk (15 mins) from the sea and very clean.

Couldn't control the air con in room. .

The location is excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk to fabulous beachside restaurants. The facilities were excellent, particularly loved having the heated pool on the cloudy days! The room was spacious and comfortable for two people and the breakfast had an excellent selection.

kids club didn’t have anything really in it other than a ball, some colouring and a playground that wasn’t good for under 4’s walls were thin so could hear people next to us at 1,30 am arguing

It was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were very helpful and polite.
