La Valencia Hotel

The Staff, the ambiance, the food and social activities-Christmas Tea and live music.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable and the a/c unit was temperamental.

Love the location and wonderful staff. Hotel is a beautiful.

I was suprised that they were charging parking and hotel fees and the staff seemingly ignorant of the change. Despite having been a guest of this hotel more than 5 times in the last year, there was no acknowledgment or upgrade.

Stylish, comfortable, great view

Seems there was some loud construction that was annoying but relatively short lived. The coffee maker was broken.

This is a very very very small room at $-- a night. You can’t even sit in the toilette without hitting your elbow to the sink next to it constantly. And with the pandemic staff are hidden like everywhere else. It’s a $--- a night place. Great views.

Room size was a joke

I liked the location of the hotel it’s close to restaurants within walking distance and also has a great view of the ocean. It’s a wonderful rustic looking hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint was when we walked into our room and noticed the restroom was not cleaned prior to us checking in.

Location

It was under construction. This was not revealed when I paid $--- for a standard room. We had to walk through drywall dust, hear the noises. Our view was terrible. The television was set up to the side so you could not see it. Our phone was broken. Worst!

The bedsheets were soiled. When I called for the 24 hour dining option there was no response to my voicemail. I was simply ignored. Management had a very sad attempt at apologizing.

I requested an early check-in which they said they would try to accommodate but they actually checked me in late wasting my time

Dinner in their restaurant was not good. Very disappointing and very expensive.

We arrived at lunchtime last Wednesday and were staying for one night. The room was not ready until almost 4pm. The tiny room was Ocean view ( pretty expensive) and could only see a tiny corner of it at an angle. The view from our room was just roofs!!

Locations m. Ocean view. Walking distance to all of La Jolla. Great staff. Beautiful room

Small workout room

The location of course. Coupled with an excellent hotel and staff. The valet staff was awesome. And our room was gorgeous with a beautiful view. The food at the restaurant was delicious too. We can't wait to return for our wedding anniversary in April.

Not a thing. Everything was perfect.

It's a great location, and the staff was very, very accommodating. They are all very well trained.

We moved rooms twice. We have a young child, and our first room was right over the piano bar...this does not mix with a baby well. They moved us to another room that was better, but we lost our view. They moved us the next day to a very nice room.

The carpeting was getting pretty worn throughout the corridors and bedrooms. Noticed trash from previous guest in my bathroom.
