Yes the hotel bar is closing way to early on Friday and Saturday. It should close at midnight like most good hotels. Atleast on Friday & Saturday.. At about 10:30pm. I counted more than 35 people who were turned away. And many more who I saw walk up.

Slow service and had to ask multiple times for requested assistance

The staff in particular, They made our trip to San Francisco all the more enjoyable. They were extremely helpful and friendly.

The only things I would change is the shower goad in the bathroom. It’s too short and the floor ends up wet.

The walls are paper thin so expect to hear conversations and running water in adjacent rooms. It’s a very old structure so bathrooms are small. Room is comfy and very clean though for the price point and area.

Cool, old bones. Clearly not the 4+ star rating that I expected. Great bar staff.

The rooms were beyond tiny as well as the restroom. The sink was so small . Shower tub was peeling all over. If you need space and traveling with multiple suitcases, it’s pretty uncomfortable & can feel crowded.

The bed and pillows were just right. Clean bed and surfaces. Front desk staff was friendly and professional. Room service guy was fast and personable. Bellhop was great. Biscuits tasted good but were rubbery like day old.

Housekeeping and facilities was loud in the hallway with supplies, walkie talkies, carts, phones and talking to each other. hallways dark and carpet grungy, stained. High pitch noise in room, window did not close, cheap rusting fixtures in bathroom.

Our room wasn?t ready until 4:50, 50 minutes after check in. We had reservations at 5:30 and we were late. Front desk staff said they were doing all they could, but it was very frustrating. The walls are very thin so we heard a lot of noise out and in.

Demonstrators waking us up at 6am and banging drums and using a loudspeaker all day long until 10pm at night. Had we been advised of this we would have booked elsewhere. The hotel should have been proactive and let us know about this situation

Beautiful room. Classic hotel. Excellent room service, security, wait staff. We have deliveries sent to us at the Beacon. When they arrive, they are brought up to our room. This is our third stay here.

Rooms too small, no closet space or bathroom space. Bars too expensive.

Central location is excellent, room was very clean and comfortable.Staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming and professional.

Can't fault the hotel - i was very happy with everything there and hope to be back.

Fabulous grandness to foyer but scaffolding cover the entire front of building was disappointing.Location was wonderful bedding was very good!

Scaffolding was awful, bathroom shower was so bad and water pressure was a joke. No woman wants a shower head so high it’s unreachable and wets her hair every shower. Hand held or adjustable heads are the best.The noise of the bar upstairs and across the road was sooo loud until late into the night and the windows didn’t close completely which let in noise.

Staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. We ordered room service, food was amazing! Beds were super comfy and everything was clean.

If you don’t want to walk from a parking garage to hotel, vallet is $75. Kinda steep but I have little ones so parking far wasn’t an option. The shower was ok. Hardly any pressure and kind of uncomfortable since there’s only a partial door. Other than that, everything was great!

This was my second stay here, the staff is all very helpful and friendly, rooms are comfortable, some smaller but it is SF. Valet is great, and they have good amenities like water refill stations and in room nespresso. Proximity to Union Square is one of the main reasons we love it here

Great hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Beds and pillows comfy. Many food options and convenience stores in walking distance. Close to subway and department stores. Cool rooftop bar but you do have to book to secure a table. Would stay here again.
