    Pros +

    • There are great views, an excellent breakfast, and a pleasant sauna/spa.
    • The general feeling of opulence
    • 25th floor exclusive lounge, incredibly efficient and friendly concierge service, location very convenient, great views.

    Cons -

    • The wifi wasn't working for over two days. This both took a long time to resolve, and the hotel didn't appear to consider this anything more than a slight inconvenience.
    • Breakfast a bit steep at 20¿
    • Kettle and towel heating rack did not work - but it was replaced almost immediately by the very efficient staff. No desk - just a divan to sit on and a low table. Very difficult to work from.Room flooring felt a little industrial - almost rubbery.

not worth the upgrade from regular melia - that is basically top floor in the same hotel and less convenient to checkin

metal bars on windows obstructing view on top floors? to safe energry on sunlight?! for 5 starts hotels -really?

    9LaurenPosted on: 6-5-2025

Our room had an excellent view of the ocean. It was so nice to watch the sunrise each morning!

There could have been more carb free options at The Level.

    The breakfast is good.

Staff isn’t organized. Friends left things for me in the front desk and they couldn’t find it. The hotel misses some maintenance. The “Level” experience is not great, room is smaller than the “normal”, SPA access is only 30 min and the jacuzzi wasn’t warm enough. Location is also not the greatest. End to end it’s probably just another average business hotel. If you are traveling for holidays there are tons of better options in Barcelona.

    Breakfast

The pool was closed, the reception staff is the less friendly I've ever met, fake smiles and useless all the time. When I arrived they offered the same room for 200 Euros more than booking.com price. So I made the reservation via booking and they told me I needed to wait 30 min for it to be in their system. Then they gave me the key of a room that was OCCUPIED. Nobody was helping with luggages. On the day of departure wifi and air conditionin were not working in the whole hotel for more than one hour (and there is no room where you can open windows, which makes it just suffocating). Really not worth the price.

Great hotel, we were offered to upgrade room for bigger, and this was great advise!! Absolutely loved how helpful was staff and how they were able to support in any query. Will come back there for sure!!!

I phoned hotel before arriving (few days earlier) and was told the pool is operational, but that was not the case, so I was not appreciative of this at all.

Like - Rooms were good and early check in was given.Dislike - SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY . 1/10 Very poor. We were on our holiday and I unfortunately I got unwell and had asked the room service to send some salt to gargle. I got a reply saying 6 euros would be charged to deliver to the room, SERIOUSLY!! 6 euros for salt?! I had to go to the restaurant personally to get it myself. Is that a service and hospitality can anyone expect from a 5 star hotel for small small things, REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

Outside it looks impressive + cool rooftop

They have besides renovated rooms as well super old rooms with furnitures with a lot of scratches - like in a youth hostel. They still sell this rooms to their guest for over 200 euros per night. The rooms feel a bit claustrophobic because you can’t open any windows at all. Its like living in an aquarium.

    rooms, view, breakfast

This is the second time we've come and we can't get into the spa, there are no places( It's a pity that they moved Tapas Hour to the 25th floor (little space and stuffy), it was much better on the 24th)

    10DinaPosted on: 3-12-2025

I have stayed prior and was looking forward staying again!

All was great just the shower had a slight gap between the door and the wall so bathroom was slightly flooding when showering. The mugs/tea spoons left in the room weren't properly cleaned, had dried up coffee stains in the mugs and the teaspoons had dried up food on them. Apart from that all excellent.

Great hotel and staff were very kind & friendly, EMMA welcomed us in our stay she was very polite & helpful. The facilities are perfect and too many things to do, location is quite nice in a quiet area in Barcelona. They is an open buffet on the 25th floor which was nice as well.I highly recommend this hotel for your family or friends staying.

stuff are friendly and helpful , food was very good and the rooms were clean.

    Staff and cleanliness

No fresh air in rooms , none of the windows could open. Food in the Level monotonous .

    8Stefania-elenaPosted on: 9-13-2024

The hotel is very clean, the staff is really nice. Breakfast is decently diverse although it would be nice to have some fresh vegetables available.

Water is only given on the first night, for a 5 star hotel I expected to receive at least a bottle of water per day.

It was a bit far from the centre but well connected

Dear management of Melia. This message I would like to direct to you.I was the fun of Melia hotels. But unfortunately I have to put minimum rating on all my past reservations to draw the management's attention to the current situation. As you can see here on Booking.com - I have stayed at your hotel The Level in Barcelona several times. I have booked premium rooms and suites. In addition to bookings on Booking.com I have also made reservations through your MELIA app. My Melia awards number is 20760819B. And also few times I booked a room at the reception, which wasn’t recorded in Melia app or Booking.com. So in the last 10 months I spent around 3k EUROs with Melia Hotels (not including spa and other services I used inside hotels). Now I have a trip in Europe. Vienna - Paris - Barcelona - Italy. And I was planning to have Melia/The Level as my partner in this trip. We stayed in Venna and all was good. But then we came to Paris… Melia La Defense. And this is where interesting things began to happen.First of all - we couldn’t pay for the room in the Melia application. I had 1945 points remaining on the balance + on the way from the Aéroport to Melia La Defense I bought 45 points more with bank card to make it 2000 total. And also application provides discount so I thought it will be the best way for booking. Total price in the application was 685.07€ including taxes for 2 nights. But on the last step there was error with payment. When we arrived to the hotel they admitted a tech issue on their side and told me to pay the full price as for a non members of Melia Rewards. It was around 750€. I said that I’m not going to pay that price as it’s not my fault that there is some tech issue on application side. For 20 minutes they was trying to find a solution. And I told them in advance that we are very limited in time because…Continue reading (symbol amount limit):https://telegra.
