- A beautiful building. We were blown away when we arrived. Our room was well equipped and maintained by Liza. Staff at reception were very polite and friendly. Jam as concierge was super helpful
- Lovely hotel. Checked in very late following a long flight from UK but staff were excellent and helpful.
- We stayed in the junior suite which was beautiful! Amazing views, comfortable bed, huge suite for the two of us.
Cons -
- Room was dirty. Hair in the bath, hair and stain on the doona cover. Water/grime stains in bathroom and toilet area. Part of an internal door frame was failing from the ceiling. No cutlery, no mini bar. Clearly not a 4.5 star hotel. I left a day early.
- Nothing. It was ideal.
- Rooms are a little dark and the pool area needs a bit of an uplift as some of the sunbeds are worn. Breakfast a little expensive but massive choices.

We stayed in the junior suite which was beautiful! Amazing views, comfortable bed, huge suite for the two of us.
The only very minor thing was poor lighting when we wanted to get ready for our evening - we struggled to find a good spot to put some makeup on.
Very enjoyable stay at The Darling, our Jewel Suite was clean, spacious and well appointed.
Lighting in the room could have been better, particularly in the walk in robe where the lighting was very poor, could hardly see what you were doing. No lighting over the safe making it difficult to open and close. We ordered some ice for drinks to our room in the afternoon and after 3 calls and 1 hour and 20 minutes later the ice arrived. That is just not good enough!
Great rooms
Zero personality. Felt like an add on to The Star and Casino. None of its own facilities.
Beautiful room. Great location Staff very friendly and knowledgeable
Service declined since last stay. No airport pick up. No fruit platter on arrival. No turndown service including chocolates and treats Pool furniture in bad condition.
Very nice staff Great pool area
Our view wasn’t goodVery expensive food options down stairs
Quality of room
The gym was not great but as a bonus you can use next door as it is part of the same complex and it was fantastic
Location. And the on site bar & Japanese restaurant were good.
I wasn’t aware a casino was included on site, so it has a vibe of a Vegas hotel.
The parking, the easy access to local shops and facilities. The staff were more then helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Nothing to be honest. Would be happy to stay there again
The decor location and rooms were beautiful the reception staff were very friendly the beds weee very comfy. Easy check
The pool bar had run out of mint and only had one staff member on, waiting 45 minutes for a cocktail. The bathroom door would open outwards and move the bath Matt so it would push water everywhere, the shower was very dark and could t figure out how to turn the lights off in the bathroom at night. Also we tried to order an ice bucket at 5pm and it was a 30 minute wait which for ice is a bit long.
Have stayed in many hotels of a similar high standard all over the world and this was the best experience I've had. From the moment we arrived it was fabulous. Staff were lovely and our suite was the best designed and functional space I've encountered in a hotel. Will definitely return.
Nothing to not like
Disappointment
Our arrival was met with a completely messy bed and an unkempt toilet. The toilet showed signs of previous use and for a place charging over 500 AUD it was unacceptable. Furthermore, two out of three concierge staff were completely rude and lacked any charisma. The only exception was a Japanese gentleman who was incredibly polite and kind.
The staff were incredibly accommodating. Can’t thank them enough. The hotel was beautiful and clean, the bed was so comfy!!
Room was modern
Poor insulation. Low ceiling and bathroom not clean
Location
No mini bar and parking ended up costing $89. I was advised it was $40 if I entered via Pirrama ave, which I did
Cleanliness, presentation, size, location
Not a lot of negative to say. It is expensive but that is to be expected in a five star hotel. In any case, the facilities, location, cleanliness and service were commensurate with and worth what you pay.
We were warmly welcomed at the reception by Ali Ozguclu, who explained everything about the hotel and also gave us great recommendations on what to do in Sydney. As a lovely surprise, we even received a white wine and pralines delivered to our room after a phone call from Ali – he was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The hotel was very clean and extremely modern. The room service was almost over the top in the best way possible – every day everything was refilled, including shampoos, body lotion, toothbrushes, and more. The service was excellent, and there is truly nothing to complain about. The hotel is not located directly in the city center. It takes about a 45-minute walk to reach the Opera House, or you can take the ferry from Pyrmont, which is a nice alternative. However, for Sydney standards, the facilities and especially the size of the rooms really stand out.We highly recommend this hotel!
Quiet compared to the starRooms lovelyCheck in staff very friendlyGreat food options Pool was great
Nothing really to fault We originally got a room with no view but they swapped us to overlooking to pool easy fix
