Excellent location

Incredibly tired hotel that needs a major update. Tatty furniture, curtains which don’t work. Equipment which doesn’t work. Staff that were not friendly. Very poor and much better hotels for a similar price in Cologne (third time visitor).

The location

We were right above the Christmas market, so the noise was horrible all night plus there was no Wi-Fi the whole time we were there and when you took a shower, the water ran into the bedroom. We had to barricade it with towels.

The restaurant was excellent, and the room was comfortable, but it was kind of bare

There was not someone always at the front desk to help you

Location is excellent and perfect for the Christmas markets. Restaurant below is good .

Very well centered

There was no internet, even though it was mentioned that there will be. No soap in the shower, had to get the soap by the bathroom sink whilst wet as I has not noticed before entering the shower. Water does not run down fast enough making the whole bathroom wet

No WiFi, poor mobile internet signal in the building.

Τhe location was ideal, right in the old city

There was no wifi for our entire stay. We asked on the 1st day and even though we were told it would be fixed, it never was. We could not get any sleep because the windows were old and you could hear every noise from the street. The cleaning crew attempted to enter the room without knocking even though we had a "do not disturb sign" luckily we had locked the door.

This is the second year in a row in this hotel. Excellent location for those visiting the famous Christmas markets in Cologne. Clean and comfortable rooms served with lift. A very good breakfast and helpful staff.

No internet in room. Hard mattress. Insufficient tea and coffee ( no milk). Continuous noise in room 301 from adjacent lift shaft. The bar is outside, there is an inside restaurant but no bar.

Great location as Christmas market directly in front. Helpful with holding our luggage and had a lovely lunch in their restaurant

Location location location Couldn’t be any closer to the Christmas market it’s right in the middle of it all. Close to shops and places to eat - paid parking near by.

Needs a good clean in communal areas such as halls and stairs. The room was pretty basic and dated could do with a refresh and some nice touches maybe a kettle or mini fridge or just some new furniture.

Location, location, location.Right at the entrance of one of the Christmas markets. Can't have a better location.Beds are good. Bathroom ok. Lovely smelling handsome and showersoap!Easy check-in online and then get the key card from the check in machine at the entrance of the hotel. All very smooth.

The rooms are dated, and should get a make over soon. Cleaning could definitely be better.

1- L'emplacement 10/102- I completed the check-in using the machine, and it asked me to pay again even though I had already paid the full amount via Booking. When I requested a refund at the reception, the gentleman was very professional and refunded me on the spot.Also, after checking out, I left my luggage at the reception for free so I could take a short walk around the center of Cologne.

The noise from the street until midnight because the hotel is located right in the city center.In the room, there was a lack of pillows, and the bed was not comfortable at all.

Amazing location- ideally situated for the Heinzel’s Christmas market and not far from the Cathedral

Bit tired and bed was so lumpy. No tea and coffee in room and struggled to get coffee downstairs after 10am.

Location was fantastic for Christmas market. And even though right in the middle of two main squares full of music and fun, it was not too bad for noise at night - we were on 3rd floor.

I have never been in a hotel this dirty before. The common area carpet, floors, and walls were completely filthy. In the room itself, there were dust balls, hair balls, undusted surfaces, dirty toilet (not been brushed clean for ages - I did it myself so I know it was possible). Our bathroom sink was heavily cracked and clearly had been for a long time as the crack was discoloured. A lightbulb in the main light was out. While it seemed the fixtures and fittings were rather new and modern, as well as the linens clean, the room was not. No one at the desk when we passed by several times to speak to about it.

Freezing - No heating when it was -2 degrees. No one ever at reception & no response when messaging on here.

Receptionists we're not the most helpful.Reception was unstaffed a number of times, including mid day when we came back to collect our luggage, we had to liaise with the restraunt staff. There was also a random dog in reception which we suspect was a member of staffs, it was unmanned and was barking and growling at us which left us feeling unsafe
