    Pros +

    • Overall, the entire stay was rather fine. Breakfast was tasty, there was a wide variety of different food to choose from. Staff was always smiling and was very welcoming, big plus that all speak English.
    • Clean, comfortable bad. Quiet.
    • The room was charming and so German. I loved it! The bed, the furniture, and I enjoyed the shower. Also, the hallways and the common area was nice.

    Cons -

    • Wi-Fi in my room was next to none, my devices kept connecting and disconnecting all the time, the best signal I could get was in the bathroom. Additionally, the mobile service was also very poor in that room. The view of the NOC parking lot from the window was not a breathtaking one as well. Once at the breakfast 5-min eggs were not boiled properly and I got a towel that was torn.
    • Parking
    • The room I was given was right on top of the entrance. And people kept coming in at all hours of the night and were very loud. It was not a pleasant or comfortable sleep at all. And I’m not sure the hotel was fully booked that I needed to be placed in that room.

Wonderful property right outside of the main square. Clean, renovated and comfortable!

One of the mattresses had a lean into the middle…uncomfortable as a couple. Very warm too.

Hotel has gone through renovation. Rooms have a modern clean look and are comfortable. Staff is courteous and friendly. Good breakfast with homemade jams. Dog friendly.

    Location is central.

Not clean at all, there was dirt, hair and crumbs all over the place. Also, a carpet in a Hotel room is not a good idea, especially when it lacks cleaning and dogs are allowed (bad for allergies). We did find some animal hair in our bed (in addition to human hair and lashes in the bathroom). When I complained about it, all I got was a "I'm sorry, I'll tell the cleaning staff". For 104 Euros a night, we got a very small, unclean room where you could hear everything and anything from the hallway or other rooms (no sound proofing whatsoever). Also, the rooms are in dire need of some renovation and a little style, someone ruined the last bit of rustic charm with cheap and ugly pictures on the wall. I would have at least expected a breakfast voucher or parking voucher (parking is not free) when I complained about the hygiene situation but we got nothing. Not good value for money at all, we will never come back and cannot recommend.

Best shower I’ve experienced in my life. Centrally located charming hotel. Friendly staff. Beautiful sauna. Delicious breakfast with homemade strawberry jam.

Great location, friendly staff, wonderful amenities and breakfast!

Historic feel, comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff, walking distance to train station and downtown. Good breakfast for reasonable price.

Parking expensive at parkhaus across the street

Ambiente looks really nice and has this "urig" character. Even check-in late was not a problem and restaurant has an amazing selection.

We checked in pretty late on the Sunday evening and were given instructions to collect our key - no issues with this at all and all worked out fine! The rooms are not the biggest, but appreciated how the space was used to maximise the room useability. Everything was clean, showers were great, no air conditioning is probably the only thing, but it was a fairly cool evening so not too much of a bother. Will definitely be back if we are ever in Weiden!

Nothing not to like! Although expect it might be a little warm in the hotter summer months when there's no air conditioning

The antique interior design of the common areas, but still simple and modern rooms, cleanliness! The location in the city centre, the extreme friendly staff. Restaurant menu very variate and delicious.

Had a great weekend in Weiden. It offers a great location close to shops and restaurants.

    No a/c

lovely welcoming ambiance, very friendly staff, nice and clean room, good breakfast, Also located just within a few minutes walking distance to a mall and the old city center.

our room had no AC and we stayed during one of the hottest days/nights of the year unfortunately. With open windows a bit noisy from surrounding streets, but (for us) it was ok.

My other room was in good condition.

Lots of bugs and a beetle on my pillow while I was laying down!!!!

    3SerraPosted on: 5-9-2024

    I won't stay unless I have to

There was no one in the hotel who spoke English, which caused a big communication problem. There was no hospitality. The elevator wasn't working, there was no one to help with carrying luggage, and water hadn't been provided daily to the rooms. The pillows were uncomfortable and there were no alternative options

    The quaintness and location.

Didn’t see anywhere that the Sauna and Biergarten were down for construction.

The location is great and that's why it was chosen. It is in the city center and close to the train station. One positive is that we managed to check in earlier than it was written and the employers were not rude.

About the room it was a small room, the window was directly over the bed and could not be opened when it rained and bugs got into. It was written that there were products of personal hygiene but there was only one product for hands, hair and body. The shower was only half operating only the top power head. But the WORST was that there was no sound proofing of the room. Someone was taking a shower from the next room and it was like they were right in your bed, when one of us took a shower also and the erotic sounds from the next room were heard loudly and without the fault of the next door hotel guests and even though they were not extreme. The smaller sounds even speaking from the rooms next to us or above were heard like there was only a curtain between us. Also, during the day there was not a person in the reception and you have to look for them and they never replied to a message I sent through booking. There were also contractions going on for an elevator that we were not informed about. We also had to carry the suitcases for two stairs which was not ideal but hopefully it will soon be resolved. The price of 100 euros for all the above was "wasted money" and having stayed in other hotels in the area in the same price range and with rooms fully functional and twice the size our experience was disappointing.

great location, good value for money, room size is ok

Everything was great. Except the bath which was mentioned in booking but didn’t exist in my room. The place is so quiet and comfortable. Gerne wieder.
