Bahia Principe Explore La Romana - All Inclusive

Very helpful staff and not too noisy, esp. in the morning. Food was excellent. Drinks not too potent so didn't see inebriated people. Location was away from other resorts and was very quiet. Dive shop was excellent with certs. and good prices.

Rooms showing age- limited outlets, loose fixtures. Nothing to do at night for preteens and teens. Recommend a room/tub for youth evens/entertainment. Somewhat remote location so no local shops/restaurants. Pool temperature cold in the morning.

Customer service was outstanding and the food delicious .

Too much smoking in all areas , the smoking was not contained too specific areas

The resort was amazing! Nice pool, beach and fun non moterized water sports! The food in the restaurants was amazing, especially the lobster!

The food at the buffet wasn't great! Over cooked food and very bland!

Cleanliness, was spot on. Even if they don’t speak english they try to get the answer for you. The entertainment staff were nice, pool was great for the most part. You have the option to drink till, 2am inside the club. Food was served until 7am.

The beds were super uncomfortable, in one of my rooms I came across a water bug! Never experienced that at any resorts that I been to. I requested to switch rooms, which they did, poor circulation with water coming out the shower head. Then I was told, to place my tissue in a bag not inside the toilet where it belongs. Some of the buffet food selection, was the same each day. You only have 3 reservations for the outside restaurants per week. There were leafs floating inside the pool certain times of the day. Information wasn’t mentioned to me, when I asked. I had to get information thru other guests at the resort. I couldn’t swim in the beach there, it was extremely cloudy, full of rocks. Drinks could have been stronger.

We upgraded to the ADULTS ONLY part of the complex, called Bougainville, which was quiet, had great restaurants and good service.

The building is not new, so there were some technical problems with the AC thermostat, lack of electrical outlets, etc. And it’s kind of far from both airports, La Romana and Punta Cana

The views the hospitality the different activities they had planned throughout the day everything was perfect absolutely perfect

The property was well groomed well kept everything was very clean

The staff was very nice and they made our stay worth it also the food was fantastic.

We made an all inclusive reservation however it only allowed us to make one reservation in a la carte restaurants and we had reserved for three nights didn't include room service which make ask myself what the reservation all inclusive. The staff was very friendly, explaining what the reservation included, but if you can't add multiple dinners and it doesn't offer room service, the package name should be different because it can be misleading.

Property Layout is ok, rooms are spacious, buffet was ok, staff were nice.

No hot water for the first 2-3 days after complaining hot water but without pressure so dripping(useless)Toilet and hot-tub were stained3pm check in, room was not ready got the room 3:25 pmWhen check in, got to my room and the key cards did not work open the door. Had to get new keycards

The staff was so sweet and amazing. I can’t rave about them enough. The guys by the pool at the bar were sweet with my son attentive and truly did their best to make all of us happy. They were also very funny. There was a woman during meals who always came to check on my nonverbal son to see if he needed anything. They were super sweet and couldn’t rave enough about the staff.

The room was dusty and not as clean as I would have expected. The hotel room was a bit old. I also would have liked to have more typical food of the country. The food was delicious though.

The buffet lunch was excellent and something to look forward to including the all inclusive drinks

There were cockroaches and big spiders in the room. The facilities in the room were basic and not updated including the water pressure in the bathroom. Even the ceiling in the bathroom came down and had to be fixed. So not a comfortable stay at all.

The food was good, the jacuzzi, the pool, the entertainment and activities. Nice and helpful staff.

Well, practically everyday I had to call the front desk. I had to call for bath gel, for shampoo, towels and had a leaking coming from the bathroom ceiling.we can not go to the beach because it had a lot of jellyfish. I was bitten.

Restaurant service staff, entertainment staff, and cleaning staff. Hotel was nice and our room was nice.

Front desk staff, never picked up the phones. At times some were very curt and unwelcoming. No directory in the roomPower outage a lot, everyday and sometimes for a long time. Food overall was ok at best Need more clarity between adult side of the hotel and family side of the hotel. Example activities and how one has to pay to go visit the adult side

The property was beautiful and pools were nice

Our room was in disrepair large cracks on the door cracked vanity in the bathroom,three times the A/C needed to be fixed one time there was no power in the room,patio door would not open. Difficult to communicate with most of the staff,

Food is good and the La Carte restaurants are better than most.Staff are brilliant, helpful and mostly always smiling.

Its not a proper 5 star hotel – bar closes at 11pm, shower in bath, bathroom doors rotting, a/c old and noisy, cools just. We stayed at 4 hotels, while in the Dominican Republic and saved this one for last since it was the most expensive. It badly needs renovation, we moved room 5 times until we were put in 1 with every thing working. A typical palm beach, however, the sea is never clear it varies from a dark/green soup colour to blueish and there are many patches of slimy mud & rocks on the bottom. No this hotel does not make the grade, we went to 3 better and they were all cheaper in price and at better sites.
