Charming, clean and great location! Wonderful breakfast! Free parking and very secure!

A huge disappointment

We were told that we had forfeited the welcome wine and chocolates as THEY had decided to move us up 1 flight, to same floor as a senior guest.No hot water, no water pressure:- after 5 minutes bath-water was less than 5cm deep.- Showering with ONLY warm water trickling out was cold and took forever!TV & DSTV was on top of and at the back of the cabinet, so had to hold remote over head to change channels.Bottled water in room was unpleasant tasted of chemicals.Breakfast room/restaurant was separate from the hotel and difficult to reach in the rain, especially for an elderly or disabled guest.Restaurant staff weren't friendly, lunch was bland and the omelette was more like an egg-pancake or crepe!Check out was only at 11am, but we made the mistake of paying for all extras on the way to breakfast - we returned to find the door wide open, the bed stripped, all our belongings pushed to one side and accessible to everyone - with no staff member in sight!At over R14000 for 3 guests for two nights - you expect better quality and service!

Stunning antiques and vintage furniture and decor in foyer. Friendly, helpful and communicative staff. The owners made us feel so welcome. Stunning pools and gardens and most convenient adjacent restaurant. Safe parking and just far enough from business precinct to be quiet. We were most generously updated to a lovely , quiet suite with private balcony overlooking the pool/garden area.

No bar, but drinks could be ordered.

Staff. Location , the concierge Leann was so fantastic!!! I can’t say enough about how fantastic everything was!! From arranging transportation to and from the airport to every little detail. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else should I go back to Hermanus!!

The hotel is lovely. Beds are so comfy and large! Breakfast is amazing with a lovely view of the sea.The Pool area is fabulous with a great pool bar. Over all, we had a fabulous stay.This Hotel comes Highly Recommended.

lovely hotel and the staff are friendly. It is value for money. They upgraded us when we checked it which was a lovely surprise. Bed is super comfortable and the room is lovely. We would definitely go back.

It would be nice is there was a shower cap and just a little cosmetic box with earbuds etc in the bathroom. otherwise no complaints.

Nice restaurant on site. Beautiful self catering unit. Safe parking. Close to town with very good restaurants. Easy check in and out. Definitely recommended.

The main bedroom has an aircon but the 2nd bedroom in the family unit has bi aircon or fan. When you open the windows you get all the noise from the street. A fan would have been very nice. Also shortage of pillows in the second room.

the toilet water was running the entire time! Because the hotel was not fully booked... it would of been nice to have been upgraded or given a see view option

Good location, Hermanus centre is a short walk. The breakfasts are good with a good selection.

Pillows were just hard, and the air conditioner was too small for the room.We stayed at Misty waves previously and was in the hotel itself, we expected the same, but we were off location in a flat nowhere close to what the quality of hotel rooms

We live in Franschhoek and enjoy visiting Hermanus, a friend had suggested Misty Waves and we where not disappointed, in fact we where given an upgrade of room with a sea view which was much appreciated.Lovely staff and a very good place to stay.

Having to leave the beautiful room. But we will be back.

This hotel is very quirky. Bit dated decor but that’s the fun side of it. Has a cinema room also!
