Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown - All Inclusive Reviews Rating
Good
Review summary
The reviews highlight a mix of sentiments regarding the hotel, with many guests appreciating the spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds, and excellent downtown location near attractions and restaurants. However, there are significant concerns about cleanliness, outdated facilities, noise levels, and inadequate maintenance, including low shower pressure and air conditioning issues. Overall, while some guests found good value and a pleasant atmosphere, others felt the hotel did not meet their expectations due to its condition and service shortcomings.

Great Location, large suite, clean and value for money
There was a full kitchen in the suite but little utensils so for a traveller this is not much use.

Love how it’s so full of life weather it’s during the day or at night. (On Weekends) loved how there was shops and a bunch more to explore. Def a great location !
The room we were in seemed like the ac didn’t quite work fully. I’m pregnant so the heat really got me at night so it was a very uncomfortable when it was time to sleep. Usually it’s not a big deal but we had a lot of things planned over the weekend so rest was very important. But staff was very friendly, valet was super fast and friendly as well. That was a big plus for us because the last valet we used at a previous hotel was awful.

This is an 1922 built oil company building remodeled in the late 20th century as a hotel. It's a 26-story building and the elevators, 6, were very fast and in good working order. The high view from the room was also good. They offered complimentary coffee in the lobby. The building itself has had a great history having belonged to Mobil Oil and still has the Pegasus - red flying horse=figure on the lobby. Great for pics. The downtown location is near major town attractions as well as many restaurants, bars and cafes.
The room was cold when we arrived and it was very difficult to warm it up. The thermostat still ancient and apparently you cannot turn it to heat in the summer months without calling a maintenance man and even then, the man is not sure how to make the room warm. So they need to update that part. Old closet doors, the drawer chest had a drawer stuck that would not open. Had to only Valet park at $48/night. The bell man had a luggage cart with faulty wheels and luckily due to my persistence we got out of there in time. They can make it a much better place with not much expense.

Excellent location. Large rooms and ample space in hotel for meetings and workout. Weekdays it is quiet. Rooms dated but still pleasant. You get a classic building
On the weekends it is very easy to hear the loud crowds outside. Restaurant was closed.

Asked for a room with a view. Gave me 21st floor and a bigger room than I booked. Had magnificent views just because I asked. Valet was quick. Room was very clean. Super quiet. I'll always choose Magnolia first.
Nothing I didn't like.
