Magnolia Hotel Downtown Dallas

The hotel was beautiful from the outside.

Although it has the potential to be a lovely hotel, it was dirty and poorly maintained. There was some kind of brown liquid running down the mirror, the closet door was not attached so if you tried to put anything in the closet it fell on you.

Location to Downtown

The noise level made it incredibly hard to sleep. Cars were revving their engines and blasting their music along with nearby events causing noise pollution deep into the night past midnight while the room had a noisy intercom w/ constant static in the bg.

Room was extremely hot even the room i was moved too and the TV didn't work

Our toilet was not clean to the point it was black which was disappointing. Rooms are outdated

This hotel was in a good location for our visit. Around the hotel are restaurants and bars a short walk.

The mattress in our hotel room was really old and crappy. Not dirty but not a nice new mattress that we've come to expect. That was the worst thing about the whole stay. They do not have many drinks in their snack shop. Only gatorade.

The location

My room is freezing, but they did offer to change rooms, but we were tired since we flew and my TV did not work at all in the room, but I got in late so it didn't even matter, but in the future I would stay somewhere else

The Magnolia Hotel is a great value for the star level and location. I got a clean and well appointed room. Good size for one or two persons. Came with a closet and a tub/shower combo. Comfortable bedding. Overall clean.

I was initially given a room which wasn't cleaned and ready. Fortunately, the hotel staff assigned me to adjust ready-made room. Hotel is a bit dated,but certainly clean and well maintained. Partially blocked interior view.

It was a very easy walk to the convention center. Although I wouldn’t recommend walking after dark.

The room needed more lighting. I overheard someone mention seeing mold, although I saw no trace of it in my room.

location was wonderful, it would have been nice if there was a restaurant attached

we were told we were upgraded to a site for no extra charge, but the suite we were given had no view from the windows, I would have preferred to have a normal room with a view.

Location is great.

Room was dirty & had to be asked to be moved to another room.

Old and not updated. Mattress was very hard. Elevators were having an issue Definitely not worth the money when their are hotels in the same region that are cleaner and updated for the same price

Only thing good about this hotel was the location.

We did not really like anything about this hotel. The staff was not friendly, lobby smelled musty, rooms smelled musty, carpet must be from the 70's and never been changed, room was dirty, white stains on the bed skirt, bathroom and windows very dirty.

The staff was very friendly, hotel was a decent price for the ease of the location.

Rooms need a little TLC.

The room and location.

I have stayed there several times! The woman that checked me in (late afternoon and gave me the keys) was not friendly and seemed robotic and not thrilled about being there. In other visits the staff has been outstanding.

We love this hotel. The only need not met is breakfast. Please!At least a continental/coffee. I understand you?ve closed the restaurant but we need something. We used restaurant list provided by hotel. Walked 3 blocks in the cold and they were closed

no room service, valet retrieval was challenging, other higher rated hotels offered more value, room was subpar and dated; HVAC was bad.

Close to Baylor Hospital

The couch and chair in room need to be replaced. Chair was very worn out. Couch was starting to look worn and torn. TV did not have capabilities to watch our movie apps. Nor did the tv have an antenna to watch anything at all.

The area in which it is located

A little outdated, could use new carpet. But the hotel is in a prime area with easy access. Would stay here again

Cleanliness, staff and location

The room was described as a "three room suite" it was not a three room suite. More like a bedroom, a bathroom and a 2 foot nook for a refrigerator I was charged a resort fee and there was nothing resort ish about this place

It?s in a great location in regards to where it actually sits relative to sights and transportation, but the homeless live directly behind the hotel in a park and you have to walk by hundreds of homeless people to go anywhere. I did not feel safe.

The park directly behind the hotel was full of hundreds of homeless people. Unknown to me, the methadone clinic is almost next door, so the homeless people stay right there. The staff rarely answered the phone. The lighting in the room was poor.
