Barcelo Maya Caribe - All Inclusive

It is great for 18+ age kids. Fun open until 3am or later and there¿s plenty for the 18+ age kids. It¿s also great for the 12 and under age kids. The pools are awesome and plenty to do there.

Beach club equipment is short in number Beach club service hours are kind of short. It will be great to extended until 6 PM or 6:30

Food was plentiful and delicious. Pools and grounds were gorgeous. Water sports offerings were plentiful. Snorkeling was amazing. Beach was clean. Dolphins onsite were great. Aprreciated free wifi for 3 hours a day.

Limited pool towels, most staff were rude. limited snorkeling equipment available and terrible lines for activities desk. Not enough staff at check in/out desk. Shows were average at best. Wish Casino was in operation.

The 3 Buffets & restaurants were terrific! Multiple swimming pools & the spa was awesome. Terrific Resort!

Variety of things to do for adults & kids. Clean. Friendly activities staff. A la carte restaurants were good.

Rocks in the ocean. No beach chairs available and ones were, often broke. Hair dryer placement (not below sink or a longer cord), sprayer in shower higher so you don’t have to hold it to wash hair. Extra cost & limited time frames on activities. Same kids menu every restaurant every meal isn’t acceptable. Taco bars in buffet were never stocked. Limited elevators in hotel buildings & very small. Weren’t informed of any extra activities or coupons suppose to be included at check in or full details about premium spa benefits.

I liked the beaches and grounds. Vegetarian options at cafe were also great. The hydrotherapy spa was excellent!

Concierge service is lacking. When I asked about shows, entertainment, restaurant, spa, I was directed to the “watch the tv”. It was hard to find information. I relied on a public Facebook group for most of the info I needed. There were also a few parties in our group that had to stay in other resorts due to them overbooking. We had a group of nearly 70 for a wedding and it seemed the resort didn’t care that groups of our family and friends were separated. They called it an upgrade even though it was a big inconvenience due to the distance between resorts. Booking excursions through the resort is probably not your best option. You can get a taxi or shuttle to most places nearby and explore on your own. Although, the catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres was worth it!

The resort was fantastic. The food in the Caribe buffet was excellent. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The entertainment shows we’re very good.

Our only disappointment was our room. Our standard room in the Caribe was very tired looking and really needed a total renovation. The chambermaids did a good job in keeping it clean but re-decoration in the bedroom and a new bathroom were needed.

The service was excellent. The a la cart dinners were amazing, way better than I was expecting. Plenty of different food options across the property we were really happy with. I’m happy we didn’t listen to people whining about the buffets online.

Our room key stopped working a few times. The front desk helped us right away each time.

front desk staff didn’t give us full information, also, I booked for the Maya Caribe and we were sent to the Maya Beach. The check-in process took too long.

Staff at water activities is rude. Since many years, this has been the problem of Barcelo. People book this hotel as it markets as pary of its value proposition that people can do for instance catamaran. However, when tryong to do this staff is arrogant and makes it complicated and even asking for money.

The food was decent and the staff was nice. The scenery was amazing.

We stayed 6 days at this resort and the housekeeper did not bring us clean towels until the end of the trip. The sheets and bedding were stained and the room was not only what we paid for but it was extremely cold and we were not able to turn up the a/c.

I got bitten by something in my room every time I slept on the bed. Staff was however kind and change the room for me.
