Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen Adults Only All Inclusive

Attentive staff was great.

The listing stated there was free parking, which was misleading. There was street parking, which was not clearly marked. The hotel was very loud, as our room overlooked the street. Food selection was ok, not outstanding. beach was lacking.

Location

not telling us they where having construction, and There was a lot of block areas and the noise level was very high. Very inconvenient for our families and children. not recommended.

I love the staff, the location and the overall people it attracts to the resort.

The buffet didn't change much throughout the course of the trip, but that's honestly just a small gripe.

The room we had was right next to the cleaning room. There cleaning carts always blocked our door

Location is everything!! Rooms are beautiful and clean. The food is very good.

The staff was awesome!

The beach was very disappointing. They have an erosion issue and they are using sand bags to try and slow the erosion of the beach. Also, we had issues when we check-in. We did not get the rate we booked or the room we booked.

Location is great! The hotel sits in a quiet street about one block from the central part of the 5th Avenue. The room we booked (Standard, with mini fridge) was small but enough for two people. The hotel has two pools being the main pool really beautiful with lots of recliners surrounding it. The second one, on a different floor, is smaller. There are three restaurants offering good Mexican (Zarape), Italian (Bella) and Meat cuts (Brasas) dishes. Our favorite was Bella with a great dishes prepared by Chef Mauricio. One last thing to mention is that the hotel offers a Coffee Bar, a Pizza place by the main pool, and, what was new for us, a self service 24 hrs open room with snacks and drinks.

The beach area! The hotel is on the sea coast with a very small beach facing a sea area with a rocky bottom.

Property was great on many levels and horrible on others. My complaint is that my reservation said I had an ocean view room, not only could I not see the ocean but my view was of all the mechanical equipment for the hotel. My other issue was it said it was an ocean front property, there’s a sliver of beach. 90 is water, there’s a boat dock that takes up most of the area:(. Pics were deceiving and so was the marketing!!! The rooms were clean and great, I was expecting way more than it was!!!

Sushi bar and all foods are good quality. Rooms are big and comfy. Everything is nice in general.

Beach is not big and best but its because of the area. rooms near upstair pool are very noisy during the night because of fountain on the pool and street.

Such a beautiful hotel right in the middle of Playa del Carmen on the water. The staff was amazing and they clean your room everyday! I felt safe with staff always on duty.Our room was right on the beach. We had 2 patios and we can walk right on to the sand. We also had a bar on the beach. I would share more pictures but I took video of the room.

Food was just ok. My favorite thing to eat was egg white omelets and papaya. Booking tours through hotel was easy and more expensive. I wish they would have showed our options. We discovered Xcarate at the end of our 8 day visit. It's a beautiful theme park like no other I heard of. We would have chosen to go to Xcarate for 2 days. Please do your research on this place, it's a must go and see. So many activities that is engaging including river floats, shows, aviaries ect... We would have saved lots of money just knowing what to do and hiring drivers ourselves.

Location is outstanding. Food was some of the best we have had at an all-inclusive. Adult only! Super clean. Every team member acknowledged you. Room was big with amazing view.

Kind of silly and small but the soap dispenser in the shower did not work well.

- Great staff- Easy to find and walk to from ADO bus terminal- Lovely staff and clean facilities- Was allowed to stay at resort until 5pm on check-out day- Mexican restauraunt and breakfast buffet was great

- Almost every pool lounger was filled by 8AM. There are a TON of cabannas that you can only rent for about $100 a day- not what I'd expect in an all-inclusive. (This includes the upper pool as well). This made every day stressful and annoying. Despite the rules being 'no putitng towels down to save seats'- this wasn't enforced at all- No one explained where or what amenities were available- Cocktails were all incredibly sweet- Bars didn't open until 11AM- On check out day I had a shower in the spa area and it was a very strange experience. A male attendant showed me to the shower and and it was communal- no lock on door. I questioned this, but was told he would leave the room in a moment. I was in the shower for less than 4 minutes and a knock at the door came- I said one minute and assumed it would be another female coming to use the facilities. Luckily, I got dressed quickly but and when I opened the door it was a male attendant, showing another male guest the facilties. This made me feel quite uncomfortable and confused.- Beach situation was very confusing

I selected a more expensive room and the size and view was perfect.

I got bitten by something every night. Very painful and very itchy. I would wake up with welts and track marks on my legs. My legs looked so horrible I did not want to wear a swimsuit. They look like bed bug bites. We had to listen to a tractor all day cleaning up seaweed at the resort next door. It sounded like we were in the middle of a big city and took away from the experience. I would have rathered the seaweed since the beach wasn't walkable anyways with all the rocks. The food could have been better for the price. The photos make it look like the resort has more to offer, but some photos (spa etc) are extra). The Mexican and Steak restaurants seemed like they were just the buffet food served more pretty.

Poorly managed property. No management onsite at all. Restaurants were so bad we went elsewhere to eat even though we paid for all inclusive. No one onsite to handle any problems and there were many. Won't be ever staying in another Wyndham resort.

Need to have management that actually care about the guests. Terrible restaurants and customer service
